Arrived late but greeted warmly. Effort made to make sure our loyalty card was entered into the system. We were impressed by the very comfortable large new bed. Good breakfast and easy checkout.

There was an unexpected musical event being organised in the grounds of the Ibis hotel and the entrance was blocked by large flower pots so we couldn’t park there. We were offered parking further away in nearby sites which was unacceptable as my husband has difficulty walking. Eventually we had to change the booking to the neighbouring Hotel Europe where we had been able to park but the only accommodation available was a suite @ €178 per night which we felt we had to accept. The Ibis hotel apologised but made no offer to compensate us.

« Love Ibis hotels. »

Whenever we travel we try to go to an Ibis hotel. We know what to expect and we are seldom disappointed. We love the one in Metz. The hotel is refurbished, the beds are comfortable and there are also rooms with showers instead of baths, which is what we prefer.

« Ibis hotel, with larger than normal rooms at the edge of Metz close to motorways A31 and A4. »

As in previous years stayed two nights, breaking a journey from London to Brno to visit family in Metz. Hotel was originally a Mercure so rooms larger than most Ibis. Liked breakfast and bar. Had dinner one night in Restaurant, which specialises in beef. Only hitch was on morning of departure, when WC cistern in room stopped filling (reported). Good sized free car park. Liked the gardens with beehives and information on bees. Glad to see that there is a charger for electric cars in the car park. Close to Auchan hypermarket and to terminus of one of the Mettis bus lines

Reception staff were excellent and very welcoming as well as helpful. Ate evening meal in La Boucherie which had excellent choice and, again, staff excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

« Good stopover location »

Staff were brilliant - very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant food was tasty. Corridors on 2nd floor smelled of smoke, however, room was clean and we had a decent night’s sleep.

« Large rooms; let down by poor choices in restaurant »

We were very pleased with the spacious rooms, including the en-suite facility, and the whole hotel seemed very clean and cared-for. However, the restaurant provision was very limiting: there were virtually no vegetarian possibilities on the main course menu, and it was all generally very 'meaty' - almost like being in Texas! We normally love French food, but this was way off-beam. The breakfast was very good, and offered a wide range of choice.

Nice, good clean room. Free Internet works A-OK. Unfortunately, the hotel still seems a bit understaffed. The barman was obviously very, very stressed and did not serve us in a nice way. We wanted to get a snack to eat, but this was obvously not possible. There was an 'assiette charcuterie' in the menu, but according to the barman, this was not possible to serve. We got two glasses of beer after some waiting. Nothing was volountarily offered.

« Fantastic Staff »

Was unlucky enough to be in a lot of pain when I arrived at Ibis Metz. The team couldn't do enough for me, they found me an after hours dentist and arranged taxis for me, they really went the extra mile so a huge thank you to the staff involved. Room was clean and tidy as always, food was good - a big thank you to Ibis at Metz :-)

Easy to find off the autoroute and friendly welcome. It's an older Ibis but comfy beds and a/c. Interesting restaurant for dinner but breakfast the usual Ibis scramble...

The hotel was ideally situated for travel on the autobarn. Our room was very spacious and clean but maintenance is needed - the toilet flushing system especially needs attention. The beef restaurant meal was EXCELLENT but, as always, Ibis fruit salad for breakfast was awful!
