The hotel was well located for my business trip. Personnel was friendly, quick and helpful. Bed in the room was really good, slept well. On the inner courtyard side it was quiet. Dowsides: shower didn't give a lot of water, finishing of the room and batchroom was bad, looked shabby, old, not well taken care of.

we had a good stay at the Mercure Porte D'Orleans, it was a 10 minutes walk from Porte d'Orleans, even closer to Montrouge metro. The buffet breakfast was the real highlight. the rooms were OK, clean and bed and sofa bed were comfy, no wow factor but that's OK if you are not spending a lot of time indoors. Very nice staff

The room was very outdated and worn down. The A/C was broken, and the room stuffy. Barely any water pressure in the shower, and the shower itself is built in a way that the whole bathroom is drenched. In the corridor, all the cables were bare, possibly creating a fire hazard. Noise level on the street of trucks maneuvering and honking made it impossible to sleep. A disaster.

Moreover, the risk was minimised in the event that the cables were not electrical. Finally, we regret that you were disturbed by the traffic around the hotel. A disappointment

Normally a stay in Mercure is top. This time on Sunday morning for breakfast there was no bread, no eggs. At the coffee machine it was very crowded but the second machine was not in use. The waiter was receiving the complaints but there was no intention to solve the problem. There was no communication what happened or if breakfast would still come. On top the fire alarm went off. Everyone seemed to be crossing around. Again no communication at all. Lifts were still working and used ..... So no, this was not what we normally experience in the Mercure.

Long stay for an event in Paris

Globally, the hotel was an average Mercure hotel. With an average service, which explains the average mark. A/C in the room was not really working, which was a major issue when we had days above 30 degrees. Reception people were not particularly friendly, and as it seems, my Gold status with Accor (at the time of the stay was ignored). Bar was closed on Friday-Saturday-Sunday (my stay included two weekends) so that was rather disappointing, and I do not believe it was COVID reasons, as was completely open the other days. Again, overall, average.

It is surrounded by bars and shops/restaurants, only need to walk a bit and look at Google maps. The reception was a bit slow and breakfast a bit expensive. There was also a french breakfast but not healthy with croisants and other cakes. I would suggest the hotel to offer a middle breakfast for people that do not want to eat a lot in the morning (cofee and sandwich).

Room was nice, but my wife was hurt by an air vent falling off the wall on to her in the bathroom. Reported it to reception as we were leaving, receptionist apologised and said she would report it to her manager. Would be nice to get an official reply from hotel management on substandard facilities.
