I stayed in different Accor hotels but this Mercure really disappointed me. When we arrived I was surprised to see how bad-maintained in the corridor (some cables are even hanging on the 6th floor) and especially in our room. The bathtub has many holes and cracks on it which I found that not very safe and clean. But I was thinking we were just staying for 2 nights, so I would just take that. The next day we parked our car in the garage (nice and big garage by the way) and got a ticket from the reception. According to the instruction we had to enter the numbers from the tickets in order to take the lift to the garage. However, it also didn't work so we had to wait for the staff to assist us. The temperature in our room was extremely hot. We tried to turn the switch but it didn't help and there was only hot air coming out. We understand that the weather was hot outside but it shouldn't be like this inside the room. Two nights in a row we couldn't really sleep due to the heat. When we came back in the evening we wanted to talk with a staff however I didn't see anyone at the reception, so I just left it. Okay the worst thing was the check-out day. Around 10am something, suddenly a housekeeping staff just opened our door WITHOUT KNOCKING! It was really scary hearing a man voice suddenly especially I was naked in the bathroom. I understand the room needed to be cleaned but first he should have knocked the door, also our check out time was 12pm. All these together really changed my mind towards Mercure. I hope you would take this feedback seriously. Thank you!

Very bad stay

We had confirmed an early check in prior to arrival and had an email confirmation of this. We arrived at the agreed early check in time only to be told that our room would not be ready for 3 hrs by a very rude receptionist. She shouted in our faces that there was nothing she could do and she basically didn’t care about the pre agreed early check in. We had two young children with us who were tired and hungry and she offered nothing in the way of a solution, such as another room in the meantime while we waited for ours to become ready so the children could rest. The hotel itself isn’t as clean as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The housekeeping staff are also quite rude telling you to leave you room because they need to clean, regardless of if you are ready to leave or not. The hotel is very tired and dated and the reception area is very deceiving because it looks modern but the rooms are old. Our TV in the room wasn’t working and we had to ask 3 times for someone to come and look at it. Our stay at this hotel felt like everything was a chore for the staff to do, probably one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had.

It was a good stay. I was traveling for a meeting but I was accompanied by my daughter, who appreciated a lot visiting Paris. So, it was a mix of Business and Family. In brief, it was good and we felt welcome and safe.
