We never had the opportunity to stay in a room quite like the one we stayed in. the room had such an amazing view, and the grounds where calm and relaxing.

Difficult stay

The hotel is on a beautiful piece of land, but the service is below par. The property is split between a more traditional hotel and a castle, where the suites are located. The check-in process for all guests is the same - there's a single employee with an iPhone and you need to wait in line for them to check you in. After a long day of travel, we were told to sit and wait, for more than 30 minutes, until the employee could check us in. This less than stellar greeting was exemplary of the lack of service excellence we received throughout the rest of our stay. We were in the newly renovated castle, which had its own concierge, however the concierge didn't have access to the systems of the main hotel, and were unable to do simple things like check-in or check-out. We were never informed of a different breakfast for castle guests, though one existed, and the employees didn't really seem to understand that guests were staying in the castle as well (I was often asked for my room number, to which I replied the name of the suite in the castle we were staying in, and received blank stares). I could go on with additional nuisances from this stay, but the fact of the matter is the hotel needs to empower the concierge at the castle to check-in/out guests, provide services, and also be staffed 24/7 - we returned after a wedding in the late evening only to find our key card didn't work. Suggesting a test run of the castle property before opening broadly to guests may be wise if you'd like to have repeat customers.

We are sorry to hear that these moments shared with us did not meet your expectations. Our staff knows that there are guests staying in the castle rooms, we simply use another term for them. This sometimes explains the reaction of the staff. Please know that we have taken this concern into account, we will talk about it to avoid any misunderstanding with customers. In addition, you should know that on the hotel side there is a night receptionist, so you always have someone available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in case of need. Once again, we apologize and we hope to regain your trust and see you again in our beautiful Demeure de Campagne during a future stay. Beautiful location. Some newly-opened chateau hiccups

We enjoyed our stay in the chateau. I think we were one of the first people to stay in our room. We felt that there were a few things that were missing from the room. There was no closet or wardrobe and no hangers to hang up our clothing -dresses, suit coat and pants. Also, there was no garbage can. Service was slow in general, but we were a large group. Housekeeping also came later, in the afternoon.

Good stay, not understandable deposits

Stay was good and thank you for the iron! Only complaint is that no-one couldn’t explain me the pretty big deposits (100€ with pre-booking and 310€ on site). The deposits have still not been released 4 days after checking out.

Stayed here as a wedding guest. Gracious staff, excellent food. Our room was in the castle which was newly remodeled and very beautiful. The only downfall was there didn’t seem to be enough staff on hand. It was difficult to find anyone at the castle to ask a question or help with a needed room item.
