They booked us in. We was exhausted sleeping in the car the night before . Rushing to get out of Spain and France . We got there and was book in . All we wanted was to sleep . We asked for a quite room on booking . We tried to go to sleep but trolleys kept passing our room on the ground floor. I got up to look it was trolleys of stock being moved out of the building . Finally getter no to sleep we where woke up a short time after telling us they was emptying the hotel and we had to move . We was in shock why did they book us in , in the first place because they knew what was happening with the stock going out . We moved next door exhausted . My husband went to reception after a short while asking for more coffee and milk as there was not enough in the room . We was told sorry because of the virus out break we can't give you any . Fare enough , but in the next breathe they had a phone call and told someone in the other room they could have room service. We was disgusted that the can take fresh food to rooms which to us was worse but we could not even have a a sealed milk Nd coffee. So you tell me is this your normal service . We where the only two keeping safe with protective gloves and wash and keeping away from everyone and it was hell .

Novotel Bordeaux Airport is a very convenient hotel, offering many services like a free shuttle to the airport or portable cot for infants. Beds are very comfortable, the sofa in our bedroom looked a bit old though. The hotel is clean and the room nice. Only down thing for me was the old stained carpet that you can find everywhere, including the bedrooms. I would definitely stay again in this hotel.

We always stay here if we have a morning flight from Bordeaux. It is well placed and the staff are very pleasant and efficient. This time however we found the dinner to be disappointing.

(Morning) Hotel reception staff and restaurant staff had no courtsy and their behavoiur was very arraogant

Long wait at check-in in the absence of staff at reception and no apologies. Worse in the morning, the staff at reception were very rude ( no greetings, no customer friendly attitude ) and worst of all no gratitude ( thanks). Regretfully the worst experience in a NOVOTEL ever. I will not go back and will not recommend this hotel. This hotel will be black-listed in our database.

After a long tiring day travelling from the UK and looking forward to a quiet drink in the bar before bed it was disappointing to find that the bar area was still full of other peoples left over glasses and snacks. We had to clear a table to sit at it. We were eventually served by a very stressed barman who was obviously working in the restaurant. We felt we were very much an interruption to what was happening in the restaurant. We understand that the hotel was busy but that is not an excuse for neglecting other guests. Perhaps the hotel should employ more staff during busy times. On the plus side the room was fine and the breakfast was very good.

Sadly nothing like a 4* hotel!

I booked the Novotel at Bordeaux Airport as I presumed, because it was labelled a 4* hotel, it would have 4* facilities and amenities, but I was sadly disappointed. Arrival at reception was good and our visit started with high expectations, sadly this did not last long! On arriving in the room we both wanted a further pillow. I went to reception and asked for two extra pillows and was told to look in the room and I would find them. I went back to the room but couldn't find any extra pillows, so I tried to call reception, but the phone did not work. I returned to reception and said I had tried to call them on the telephone, but was told that the telephone system was not working! When I returned to reception, I was very much treated as if I was either blind or stupid not to be able to see them, a member of housekeeping came with me, reluctantly, to the room and pointed to the empty shelf where she then realised that there were no pillows. She went off and came back with two pillows, but with no apology from anyone, obtaining them had been an unpleasant experience. My booking confirmation stated "a safe in the room and a mini bar". But the safe did not work and when I asked reception for assistance (obviously having to actually go there yet again as the phone didn't work!), I was told that the safes are all out of action! The mini bar tuned out to be a small fridge with one single bottle of water and two very small 'one portion' pots of milk. This is not a mini bar! And one small bottle of water is not sufficient for a double room for two people. Tea and coffee making facilities were appalling. There are no china cups, but two paper cups and a wooden stirrer! In a 4* hotel this is totally unacceptable. And even more so in a time when disposable items should be avoided. A 4* hotel should not only be judged by the amenities available to guests, which were very inadequate, but predominantly by the service and frankly the service I received was barely applicable to a 2* hotel. This is the first time I have been in a Novotel, usually using Mercure, but I am absolutely sure it is also the last time.

We always stay here if we have a morning flight from Bordeaux. It is very convenient, the staff are exceptionally pleasant and efficient and the food in the restaurant is excellent .It is a great start to a holiday.
