This Novotel is really great. The rooms are great, large enough and the bedding is exceptional. I enjoyed the breakfast which allow you to do your own Brittany "galette" and there is a lot of choice. Moreover the location which is really close to Alma Mall as well as our factory is really a plus.

Hotel is fine but looks a little tired. The staff are ok but nothing special and someone of them are not very welcoming. Not much for vegans for breakfast.

The room was not clean specially the carpet was dirty. The bed was nicely made on her first night. However, the sheets were not done on the second night, only the comforter was smoothed. The tv could not be turned on. The water in the sink was not flowing and was not fixed on reporting to the front desk.

I have stayed at the Novotel Alma Rennes many times and the service has remained good. The only frustrating aspect this time was a lack of French/English dual descriptions of dishes for the evening meal, as the French descriptions were rather flowery and exotic. I particularly enjoy the buffet style breakfast.

Despite the room feeling a little 'tired' and in need of re-decorating, everything was clean and more than adequate for our overnight stay. What little contact we had with staff was still pleasant and courteous. The check-in and check-out processes were extremely easy and efficient. I would have no concerns about staying at the hotel in the future.

We were on route from Roscoff through France to Clermont-Ferrand and chose the hotel principally for its location. However Morgan made us feel very welcomed on our arrival and then was very helpful translating the restaurant menu. An army is said to run on its stomach in whivh case a hotel runs on its staff.

Very disappointing on our fifth or sixth stay here - never had an issue before. Unfortunately they had a football team staying and we were treated like prisoners in the hotel. Thank goodness this wasn’t our first stay at the hotel or we would have been put off forever.

Good quiet location, useful location to break up our journey from the West coast to Caen, excellent choice of food for breakfast and good quality dinner despite the menu being slightly limited. Free parking and easy to connect to free wifi were a bonus. Room and hotel in general were clean and tidy

A pleasant relaxing stopover...

This is our 'stopover' hotel on the way back up to the Channel Ferries from South West France. It has secure car parking, helpful staff, a small outdoor pool in the gardens, a large public park alongside, and all the facilities and restaurants in the Alma Centre next door.

As a silver member was not offered welcome drink. Room was tidy however the pillow case was ripped, on of children’s beds had missing slays which meant they had to sleep in with us as the mattress sunk beneath them and would have hurt my 7 yr olds back also large area of paint peeling of toilet wall in room 281. After driving from SW France was too tired to complain at desk. Other than that everything else was as expected and great breakfast.
