Everything was fine although more choice on the menu would be welcome. We had stayed here before though, so we knew the location and the property.

Over the years we’ve used the Novotel in Limoges as a relaxing stop over with the guarantee of an enjoyable meal. Considering this was our first stay post Covid lockdowns and our first visit back to France since Feb 2020 after a long drive leaving the UK at 3am we were delighted to see a refreshed hotel and a very pleasant and straightforward check-in process. Then we had our evening meal and not only a very disappointing experience but a shocking meal. Asking, in French what the options were for our daughter on the children’s menu as there wasn’t a printed menu for this… a very stressed looking waiter went to ask the chef and returned to tell us it was fish nuggets and that was it! I made the mistake in saying hilarious’ in reply to one choice and only one choice and this I feel was my mistake as my steak I ordered was not only over cooked for my A point request but a tough old steak that my knife was struggling with too… I’ll add the flavour was good but mostly inedible. The waiter was not a happy chap and whilst the breakfast was up to the usual standards we will be avoiding a stay at this Novotel on future trips Was tempted to put a terrible rating but the check in, check out and breakfast gave it a better rating. A very unhappy Silver card holder

Services have declined since several previous visits; restaurant was closed which was not indicated at time of booking. Bar service minimal. Rooms Ok location OK
