1. The elevator system is just horrible. Only 2 elevators to serve all rooms i.e. long waiting time. 2. With such a bad elevator system the employees enter before the guests which is indelicate and stupid i.e. bad training 3. The morning coffee is a total mess. It is a French hotel chain with no croissant at the breakfast; I mention that to the attendee and I received a nice answer: "Yes, we have croissant but today they burnt all!". At one time I went to the buffet and there were a lot of plates empty i.e. bad supervision/management. 4. Buffet for dinner presenting an extremely poor choice/alternatives. We tried to ask the "À la carte" menu and we were strongly advised to take the menu because of the à la carte alternative would take a very long time to be served i.e. once again bad training! If you are not interested to work with an À la carte alternative, just don't offer it!

Good, comfortable stay. The only improvements I would consider are free bottled water and an ironing board in the room. Bedding and room was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

« The staff makes the difference »

I was very welcome from the first step in the hotel. The room is a good size, but from my point of view there is too much furniture, which makes the space little used. I don't see the need for doors in the closet. Besides not obstructing the way when opened, it prevents the creation of odors. Nowadays, less is more. The division of the bathroom facilitates nothing. In the shower area, if the door remains closed, the towels will have a strange odor. On the other hand, the bed is one of the best I've ever slept in a hotel.

« My experience at the Novotel Sao Jose dos Campos »

My experience was disappointing this time. The hotel seems to be getting run down. The below are my comments: Staff: Friendly and knowledgeable Rooms: Run down. The paint on the wall by the AC was peeling off. The AC was stuffy. The couch did not smell fresh Bathroom: the shower door and wall were moldy and emanating a strong smell. The sink clogged easily and drained slow. The body and face towels smelled moldy and were not soft. My colleagues who stayed at the same hotel described me that they had a similar experience. Asking the staff to replace the towels did not resolve the smell. Unless the rooms are renovated and made suitable for guest, I will refrain from coming back to this hotel.

« OK, but definitely not great. »

Room was sub par for price. Only one towel in the room and it smelled weird. The bed had only a bottom sheet and a comforter, not other sheet to cover with and comforter is way too heavy for the summer in Brazil. On the good side, the staff and the breakfast were very good.

I had 3 issues on my stay this time the adversely affected my overall satisfaction - the shower does not drain the water after the shaker (Room 467) - There is a constant noise on the outside (maybe a large air conditioning running all night) - the burger ordered was over cooked...

I coming in this hotel for the last 20 years and it is great to be welcomed each time. Some improvements are however due. The bar area is unfortunately not longer inviting to sit and have some beers with colleagues. This is a pity. The refurbishment of the pool area and the Pool bar looks good. The bathroom in the room needs some more attention.

« Half good, half not so good »

The bed was great, the air condicioneer was a bit noisy. The breakfast and room service were good. I had two problems. The toilet was separate from the shower, but it had no washing bowl, so I had to open two doors to wash my hands. Very annoying. And the TV was dark. In all channels, with any color configuration. I did complain about it, but nothing changed.

I took a deficient room. The shower would split water in the whole bathroom floor. Old facilities. Check out very long and didn't receive my invoice from consumption in the bedroom for reimbursement.
