Disgraceful water exploitation

Polite and helpful staff, a very good breakfast and a comfortable room. BUT, to be charged 9 euros for 2 bottles of water is disgraceful. When you arrive at 23:00 after travelling for hours a small bottle of water in the room is no way enough for 4 people. So to find you need to pay 9 euros for 2 bottles of water at the bar is horrendous. Water is a necessity for a human to survive not a luxury or a treat. A young family shouldn't have to decide if they can afford to buy water in the 21st century. When someone asks "what was the Novotel Arenas like? " , unfortunately the thing we will remember is a multi million pound company making a huge profit from "water" out of a young family.

It was an unusual stay. We checked in the hotel and went to our room. A little later we decided to check with our flight scheduled for the next day - it was cancelled so we looked a flights on the day we checked in and there was an open flight which we booked. We checked out 2 hours after we had checked in and the desk clerk was very gracious and reduced the fee that we paid. She didn't have to do that but we were impressed at her kindness. It is a stressful time and it was nice to see an act of kindness like that !!!

Disappointing

Id booked for only 1 night between connecting flights and thought Id treat myself to a really nice hotel. My experience was however very disappointing !! I had to call 2 times for tbe shuttle and waited over 30 minutes for it (staff apologized and offered a welcome drink) ....If Id known I would have walked. Room was smaller and not as spacious as I expected from the photos and I found the ovef all appearance rather old and lacking in chic expected of high standard chains like Novotel. I also found hair on the pillow and the wall of the shower as well as stains on the wall above the desk....coffee or..... Otherwise very convenient for Terminal 1 of course which was 1 of the reasons Id chosen it. However other budget options would have been just as good in view of my disappointment and a good rate offered by my company. Sorry but I wont be booking again

We needed a place near the airport. Novatel fit the bill perfectly! Restaurant in the hotel, good food, good wait staff, competent hotel front desk staff, good shuttle driver. Room was clean and comfortable. A quibble: perhaps 2 bottles of water in the refrigerator?

Nice hotel in a convenient location

The hotel is well located, 5 minute away from the airport. The executive rooms are large, well insulated against noise and have plenty amenities (nespresso machines, Ksumi tea bags, selection of free soft drink and comfortable bath gown). The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to the airport.

Hotel room way to warm but really close to the airport

The room temperature was too hot and I could not open the window or cooling the room down. It's a shame because it ruined my night. The breakfast was really nice and it was really quick to come from the airport, my flight landed at 22.30 and I was in my room before 23.00 ; that's really good when you are tired of your trip and only want to go to bed.

Every year, I go to this hotel in January to Mars, every week for business. I left last week with a rather mixed impression. I must say that this time was much better. The personnel is as friendly and efficient as ever. Happily they also made their best effort to provide me with a quiet room, a blanket and a sheet and far from the elevator. I could rest much more and better this time.

Nice rooms, well laid out, comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms, cordial staff, perfect location, and great price. With the No. 2 tram stop now located a hundred metres from the hotel, it is even better.

Useful hotel, close to the airport

Being a recurring client of Novotel in multiple locations, I have the opportunity to compare the service and overall experience. The hotel is currently being renovated, which should improve the overall experience in the future. A few things are however to improve. First, I explicitly asked before going, and then when I arrived, to replace the duvet with a blanket. I did not get any feedback or explanation why this was not done. Then, the restaurant has to improve. The food looks microwaved and not cooked on site. The result is disappointing, for a rather hefty price. Being a gold member, I expected a form of upgrade if the hotel was not full - not there. The status does not seem to provide any specific advantage (besides a free drink). In Paris, there is a upgrade to a large room in the last floor (with Nespresso machine), sweets, and a few more attentions - and a blanket as requested. The personnel is very friendly (reception, restaurant) and the management is also on the ball. This is why I continue to go there, but I hope that they can improve a bit.
