We have had a bereavement in the family and booked the hotel at the last minute.....The receptionist was so understanding and booked us inter connecting rooms straight away. Also they were so so polite and even allowed us to say an hour extra the next day due to timing of visits to the breaved house.

Nice hotel great staff Never once gor our room cleaned in the 4 days though which i was extremely disappointed about Excellent breakfast and a bargain i felt Gave a 6/10 purely because of the cleaning issue but would most likely stay again

Was very disappointed to find my "go to" hotel was to be temporarily shut. Although further to travel to this is a golden find. Some of the staff from my old favourite have transferred over which was a lovely surprise as the staff totally made my stay a home from home. The new staff I have met are just as friendly and customer focused. A big thumbs-up from me.

Avoid the breakfast

The room was lovely but it may be a good idea to put a map in the room so people can find the one and only plug socket. The pillow was very hard. Didn’t have have a good nights sleep because of the pillow. I went down for breakfast at 09.10. The food must have been sitting there for some time as it was all dried up.

Safeguarding nightmare

Started well, staff remembered my name from last couple of stays. Saturday night was a nightmare. Literally no sleep at all. Night reception said he would have a word with people in room directly above mine. Probably could not be heard over the noise. I went down at 0230 (young lad wandered past and outside as I was talking to receptionist), 0400 and 0530 (told day manager would be in shortly, asked for her to come up and see me). Then I went up to the room above mine. Very young lad opened the door, wearing a towel, clearly on something. I said I was going to call the police and report a drugs party. The noise quietened down for an hour and then started again. Shouting, jumping off furniture, slamming wardrobe doors etc. No sign of Day Manager. When I went down about 0800, she said, angrily, that she was not going to come up to my room and knock on the door at 0600 in the morning …I might have been asleep. If only. Attack clearly the best form of defence in her “how to handle unhappy guests” book. Unsurprisingly, won’t be staying again. Though underage people who wish to have privacy for parties are clearly welcome.
