worth a visit and you will meet a friendly staff, there is ample parking and the restaurant is well stocked, the coffee machines are an automated Barista. i would recommend it for someone travelling to destinations in Den Haag, Rotterdam and points in between

« expensive Breakfast and poor selection of Gym equipment »

I was shocked at a price of 21 euros per breakfast. thats an enormous sum especially when you consider most people i see are business men and have a relatively small breakfast. You need to provide a much cheaper option that does not include hot food. I tried to get in the Gym every night to spend an hour on the tread mill( this time and the last time i stayed before xmas. Each night it was fully taken up between 18:00 and 21:00, while the bike, rowing machine and cross trainer where regularly not used. Can i suggest you change the rowing machine and cross trainer for 2 more treadmills which i feel sure will be used more often

« Good potential, but unexpressed »

All considered it was pleasant. The point why I gave a 6 over 10 vote is because from a 4 stars hotel you are expecting more. At least the service should be spotless, but every day there were some new little carelessness that added together make you feel frustrated. For exemple, the fact that often the water bottle was not replaced (I do not know if there is a water bottle per day included into the price, but if not and basing on the price it will be even worst), sometimes they take from your room the soap without replacing it, I used the loundry service once and exactly that day there was a problem and the bag was not delivered to the room but it had to be collected from reception, the fact that despite having 2-3 waitress serving a small restaurant they look lost. In general the staff need more training.

« It was okay »

Room too warm and couldn't open window. Uncomfortable pillows (too soft). Breakfast relatively expensive. There are hotels in city centres that offer more for about the same price.

« Okay hotel - needs updating. »

The common areas of the hotel are in great condition and we had a good meal in the restaurant. Ample parking and polite helpful friendly staff. The guest rooms are a little shabby and outdated - there was a small amount of black mould in the shower and there were charging points on one side of the bed only. Overall I would stay here again, bearing in mind that the rooms are a little outdated.

I had a very good experience, the desk and restaurant personnel were pleasant and helpful, the breakfast had lots of variety. I used to make a sandwich for my lunch from the breakfast bar, but was informed that this was not allowed, and that the hotel would provide a lunch for €15

Spent one night. Staff polite ,helpful And organised Room spotless Bike was perfect Good location Breakfast buffet Well stocked This allowed me to come and go without Any trouble or delays Which is what I always look for in a hotel. This will mean I will be staying again in the future.

« Somewhat disappointing! »

Not perfect. One day no bath towels - the hotel ran out. Bottle of water per day lacking on 2 days. We were with 2 for 5 nights - room lacked storage space for belongings - no drawers . Hotel reservation confirmed 2 arm chairs in room. There were none. Overall staff very friendly

« Comfortable and great service »

The rooms. Classic for a NOVOTEL. Clean and comfortable. The bed. Comfortable. Breakfast. Good lots of variety. I would recommend little more fresh raw vegetables and fresh fruits. Personal experience. We were stating in two rooms. One of the room had several issues. Bathroom door could not close, noisy in the night (water leakage). We could not sleep well and informed the personnel the next day in the morning. The personnel was very responsive and found an other room for us. Very good reaction from the reception staff. I could argue that the room we had first should not have been used until repaired took place. We plan to use this hotel again in the future.

« Noisy and outdated »

Unfortunately, we had some extremely noisy guests on our floor, with 3-year old kids running and shouting at 3 a.m. The extra-bed (a sofa) in our room was ok for our kids but actually you don't want to know when the floor underneath has been cleaned the last time. Some other guests had room service for dinner, with the remains still left on the floor the next morning. Shower head went off while taking a shower. Help was quick and the staff very friendly. So all of my four points are dedicated to them.

« What i needed where i needed to be. »

On the whole the stay as always was excellent, the only negative point on this trip was the maintenance man at the hotel, I was working nights and had the do not disturb sign on the door, despite this the maintenance man knocked on the door until i woke and answered and said he was testing the fire alarm and it will only take 1 minute, i said i was sleeping but he said again it will take 1 minute and was rude and not to the standard of the rest of the team, on the day in question i had returned to the hotel at around 5 AM after working during the night and was still sleeping at 11:30 when i was woken by the knocking on the door. It was really disappointing as i have never had a negative response to give before and i have stayed at the Novotel Schiedam on numerous occasions.
