great location but outdated and expensive overnight parking

Overnight stay on the way back from skiing holiday. Perfect location, plenty of parking availability (incl valet service), spacious rooms - though little bit outdated - and great breakfast buffet

We were absolutely not satisfied. the hotel is by no means a 5 star. The room was so old, furniture damaged, after sleeping on the sofa bad I had so much pain that I had to take medication. Room cleaning service on 2nd forgot to clean the room. Breakfast buffet deserves 2 stars not 5. Will certainly not come back not to any other Sofitel.

The hotel is located in a very good place, in a city center. It’s very comfortable to walk and shop. Inside the hotel good atmosphere, but not the luxury one. Especially in a room. We changed the room. The first one was in awful condition, renovation is old, furniture scratched. The second one was little bit better, but almost the same. We were very disappointed and next time we will not choose that hotel in Strasbourg. But anyway we still love Sofitel in other countries and places, where we have been. Before that time we always feel the luxury level of the Sofitel hotels around the world, what we cannot say about Sofitel Strasbourg.

Here’s the thing: if you market yourself as a “5-star hotel,” as Sofitel Strasbourg does, you can’t have the same beat up, broken furniture as a 2-star hotel. You can’t have broken light fixtures with water stains all over them and the surrounding ceiling. You can’t have dented, beat up doors. You can’t have stained old carpet. And you can’t put elite Diamond status holders in rooms 150m walk from the only elevator, directly over the loading dock and dumpsters where trucks show up and bang things around early every morning. This is a HUGE disappointment. If Sofitel Strasbourg told people it was a 3-star hotel, and priced itself accordingly, it would be fine. The location is good, the staff is great, the beds are good, and the rooms are ok (but still worse than any Hampton Inn or similar midlevel budget hotel I’ve stayed in). But this place claims to be 5-star on its website, and 4-star elsewhere. It’s not even close. We will be back to Strasbourg. We will not stay here again, and I’d advise you to spend your money elsewhere, too. Again, this was such a disappointment.

I addition to the overall very good experience, I wish to note in particular the outstanding concierge service (the Chief Concierge on duty during my stay was , I believe Glaser Mathieu). The restaurant and other recommendations were all very helpful, as well as assistance in a day trip to Colmer.

The hotel location was good, but other than that we were really disappointed with the hotel's services and much lower quality than any other Sofitel hotel we stayed in before(Paris, Brussels, Budapest). first of all, the room is over priced, we paid for a luxury room and there was nothing luxury about it, just a simple room without anything special, even the coffee capsules were not nespresso. the breakfast was majorly over crowded, the food choices were limited, there was no hot dishes, there was no egg station like we are used to have in 5* hotels, only premade scrambled eggs. the hotel did not ask for the covid vaccination proof not in check in and not in the breakfast, the seats in the breakfast area were very close to each other, did not feel safe to stay here! Do not expect too much English, we spoke with the host in the breakfast room in English and she kept speaking with us in French like we had to understand her. overall, bad experience, would not recommend, very poor cost to value!

Great staff, especially at the front office. Great rooms, amazing comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, delicious bread and croissants, the other pastries could be better quality. Staff at the bar not to the level.

I enjoyed the Sofitel in the middle of the Unique big Island. The staff is super friendly and go out of there way to make you stay a memorable one! The rooms are elegant and clean and we loved the ambiance of the terrace restaurant in the middle of the city… enjoyed everything about our stay
