« A not bad hotel in the middle of Mt Isa. »

Hotel and room was fine, fridge in room was handy and a kettle for tea, parking was OK but tight if a lot of cars were parked. Staff were good as expected in an Accorl. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for refurbishment so no dinner or breakfast. Fortunately there are other places to eat and went to the Isa Hotel, food was good.

« Well Located »

The staff that we had contact with were brilliant. A few issues that I would like to mention. 1 - Car parking - I understand the limitations that exist, however if designated parking bays were painted this would have helped in a small way. As well as the area out the back. 2 - The pool obviously had not been cleaned for several days, so even if I did want to swim I would not have been able to enjoy it. The rain that was around may have aided this decision for the pool area not to be cleaned but still not an excuse. 3 - Lack of restaurant services. I'm sure once the refurbishment is completed this will be fantastic

« Great Potential but poorly maintained »

Great position and check-in staff. Unfortunately, the bathroom exhaust system is not functioning correctly resulting in drains stinking the room out. They need to ensure the fans are running up on the roof to draw air through the ducts. Staying again tomorrow night so hopefully, it's fixed.

« Good stay at a Challenging time »

During a traumatic time in my life the staff were compassionate & caring. Especially a young lady named Jaime. I was grieving the loss of a family member. I found a box a chocolates & a very thoughtful note left in my room the day after I met her.

Restaurant unavailable, limited menu available for room service. Although booked for breakfast, was advised to go to coffee club and didn't realise that I could have/should have been provided with a breakfast pack.

Good stay, but my room was not made up when I arrived and had to be moved to a new room. Staff were very apologetic and provide a drink voucher. They also lent me an umbrella - room a bit dated, panels loose etc.

« Good location, able to access everything. »

It was good, just two thing: During checked in, the reception forgot to pass me the WIFI password, so I was not aware the hotel providing WIFI, the day before I check-out I asked the front desk and then she passed to me. Also the room TV antenna plug has been loose I think for a while now, when I turned on TV, I was not able to get good receiving, then checked on the plug and found the plug is sinking into the socket, it took me minutes to try to get a better receiving. My colleague's room has the same issue too.

I booked my room directly with the Hotel by phone. I am an Accor Plus member and use my membership weekly and seldom stay at any other hotel groups. I like the membership benefits such as meal discounts. Only when I arrived at the hotel to check-in was I advised that the restaurant was shut for renovations. This is really annoying as it is a big part of the reason for choosing Accor Hotels.

Usually stay here or somewhere else. Ibis includes breakfast usually, but not this stay. Restaurant was being renovated, and no staff informed me of this. So no breakfast was given. Was I given a part refund ???? Nope. Was I given an explanation ???? Nope.
