Hello dear STORR and thanks for yor feedback :) Concerning the parking access, there is noting more we can due, we give to our customer individual ticket, there is no button to push, no contact.. For the wearing of the mask, it's an obligation to wear it in closed place as the hotel, we are focusing each moment on the fact that customers must wear it inside, sorry if one or 2 customer you met did not do it.. We ll be more careful about it, Take good care of you and see you next time :) Raphaël

I did not stay due to Covid 19 restrictions. Despite staying at this hotel regularly I had hoped for a credit note for a future stay but was not offered one due to booking with Booking.com.

The hotel had done everything to take all possible COVID measures but still be a hospitable hotel. Especially the breakfast with single-person-wrapped fresh cheese and meat was well appreciated!

Been coming to Boulogne for years just for an overnight stay. Firstly to enjoy a meal, visit the decorated square and enjoy the festive season. Hotel well sited for parking and the town centre which always has lovely Christmas decorations.

Hotel is easy to find, well situated adjacent to the estuary and a short walk into the town centre. We have stayed here several times and the staff are always friendly and obliging. Bedrooms and public areas are always clean and well presented. Beds are comfortable although bedrooms are not over large and they could do with more power points. The breakfast offering is comprehensive: fresh fruit, selection of breads, cereals, pastries, cooked meats, cheeses, eggs, etc. We have also eaten in the hotels restaurant and found the food there very good and not overpriced. There is a secure underground car park available at extra charge. All in all, a great place for a nights stop over.

Unfortunately both the outside and inside of this Ibis fails quite miserably, it looked very shabby.. Air con did not work in an exceedingly small room, so had to have window open each night. The room was right above Reception and the noise from cars and guests coming and going at 3am for what seemed ages was dreadful, no one went out to say keep the noise down for the sake of the other guests! Not a very soundproof room at all.

Thank you for your comment on your stay. We are sorry to read that this one did not happen as you wanted. However our hotel was renovated two years ago and to say that we deserve to be new again is maybe also a bit hard. You were in room 127, renovated like all the others, which is on the river side and therefore street side. We can not forbid people to come back at 3am and talk. In terms of air conditioning, indeed it was not activated, being in October, with an outside temperature of 15 degrees, we are switched to winter mode so heating mode.

The room was basic, and ok. Based on the name of the hotel - IBIS - I expected a somewhat higher standard, compared to previous experiences in IBIS hotels. Particularly the rooms were a bit small for three persons (an extra bed for a child), and that extra bed wasn't really comfortable. I read about the size of the rooms (16 m2) but I expected that when having an extra bed it included a bit bigger room as well. Maybe my fault. I didn't find the rooms really 'newly decorated' as the website suggested, except the bathroom, which was nice and clean (though also really small). The rooms were also quite noisy (we could hear people from the rooms above), with doors that squeak, but it could be just our bad luck. Breakfast was OK, but again the space a bit small and quite crowded. The location of the hotel is fine, though, and the staff is really excellent. Sorry about being a bit negative about the rest, but I have had better IBIs experiences before.

Bonjour, Mije2019 Merci d'avoir pris le temps de partager votre expérience dans notre hôtel . C'est un retour honnête, objectif et c'est le votre . Nos chambres sont entièrement rénovées , mais il y a plusieurs standard de rénovations en fonction du modèle choisi par la marque et l'année également car bien sur ceux ci ne cessent d’évoluer et une rénovation de 2017 n'est déjà plus la même 6 mois après . Et comme vous l'avez évoqué , vous avez certainement rencontré différent style de rénovation dans les Ibis , plus grand si la chambre étaient plus grande de base, plus moderne...Merci de souligner l efficacité du personnel, celui ci travaille au quotidien pour satisfaire la clientèle. Pour le bruit ; nos portes sont toutes munies d'un stop qui freine sa fermeture et notre technicien interviens régulièrement sur d’éventuel problèmes que l’équipe des étages lui remonte .alors je m'explique pas le grincement, merci néanmoins de le préciser je vais contrôler. La salle du restaurant a entre 70 et 80 places pour 80 chambres donc un bon ratio mais peux être que ce jour la beaucoup de client a la même heure , nous proposons régulièrement a nos clients dans ce cas précis de prendre le petit déjeuner au niveau de bar qui comporte 20 places de plus. cordialement . A short break in Boulogne, which we do on a regular bases and always stay here. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is very basic for the cost, but you are not restricted in the quantity you have.

Although our stay was for only one night, an overnight en-route, we felt immediately that this hotel was worth more than that and we will return in the future. From the minute we walked through the door the welcome was efficient, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and dinner was enjoyable and good value. The bar area was clearly popular and had an ambience of good humour. Every member of staff was keen to please. Our one night stay was a pleasant surprise.

Pleasant stay in convenient location

Stayed for one night (Tuesday) in this conveniently located hotel. Easy to find; accessing its parking was harder, especially as it was the early evening rush. It's only possible to get into the hotel frontage from one direction - as if you are heading towards Nausicaa with the water on your left. This wouldn't be a problem at a less busy time of day. To get into the car park through the Ibis's entrance you need a ticket only available from reception. Stop BEFORE the hotel entrance if possible to get this, otherwise you are past the car park access and have to drive around the one way system, over 2 bridges and back round to get back to the hotel. Once you have your ticket, all is easy - drive down the ramp, ticket in machine and you're in. Ibis's dedicated parking is to the right but it's a big car park for a shopping centre and you can park anywhere. There is an access door to the hotel from the dedicated parking area - you need your ticket to get through. We took so long to get the car into the car park and work out where to park that the very kind and friendly receptionist came looking for us - I was very impressed! After that, all was fine. No problems with our reservation - all paid for in advance as expected. Just had topay 8 euros for a night 's parking - we left the car for a large part of the next day too. Room was small but clean and comfortable. There was a lift as well as stairs to get to the upper floors. Shower room was a good size. No view but we were only there for one night. Rooms looked fairly recently refurbished. Hairdryer in bathroom. There was one socket and 2 USB points next to one side of the bed. No kettle but most French hotels don't have one in the room and we weren't expecting one. (It's just nice when they do.) Bed was comfortable and we slept well - pillows were a bit soft though. The shower was good. We had booked breakfast - this was a continental buffet and was good. The only hot food was boiled eggs, but there was cereal, fruit salad, yoghurt, different breads, cold meat, cheese, pancakes, croissants and pains au chocolat as well as the usual hot drinks and fruit juice. The hotel has a bar and restaurant but we found a restaurant a few minutes walk away, heading up the hill towards the old town, in Place Dalton by the old church. There were several restaurants there and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Place Dalton has a market on Wednesday mornings. The fortified town is a few minutes further on and well worth a visi
