The only issue was the breakfast. We had travelled over 700 miles on the previous day so had a lie-in. We arrived for breakfast at 9:30 and there was almost nothing to eat. No fruit, yoghurts, cereals, bread or pastries. There was one person working on breakfast and she was not coping at all. Eventually and in dribs and drabs, some more food did arrive but in such a way as to prevent my wife and I actually eating our meals at the same time. We reported our dissatisfaction to the receptionist but she just said that the person doing the breakfast was new and needed time to learn the job. This raises the obvious question of adequate staff training.

The room had been recently redecorated and was clean and fresh. The corridors are in the process of being decorated too. Friendly and efficient as usual. Well situated as an overnight stop for us and plenty of shops and restaurants close by.

Never again unfortunately.. Strange roof design looked like there had been a leak. Disabled shower wet entire floor which was then very slippy. And basically room with extra single bed that could be curtained off made it feel like an hospital ward.
