We picked this ibis as we travelled with our 4yo and wanted 1 room for all 3 of us. She was very excited about her bunk bed! Hotel quality corresponds with its price and level. We benefited from parking in the garage and close proximity to the big shopping mall. The receptionists were very nice.

Arrived in room late and exhausted. Around 1am. Squeaky elevator woke me up several times through the night. By 5am the morning elevator traffic kept me steadily awake with the squeaky noises. Finally fell asleep around 830am. 900 first housekeeper banged on my hotel room door and barged in yelling - S E R V I C E. When she was all the way in the room she finally heard me saying - i'm trying to sleep. Listened to her bang here way down the hall way with guest after guest saying go away. 4 in a row. 910 second housekeeper banged on my hotel room door and barged in yelling - S E R V I C E. Please re-read 900 above - exact same. This time 5 more doors turn her away after me. QUESTION: Does you hotel GM have any idea what business hotels are in? Has ACCOR properly instructed the property GM as to why people pay to sleep at hotels? To sleep. In the end - either Accor or the hotel GM has no idea how to run a property where sleep is the purpose. Questions: Assume the GM visits and views every hotel room at least once a quarter and at rotated times 6am, 12n, 6pm, 12mid. Either the GM is too lazy to improve the situation, too incompetent to know how to improve it, or forgot to tell reservations & front desk the room is for sale but no sleep can be provided with this room. If you'd like to know how to operate hotels & especially the housekeeping process, please do contact me. I visit 200+ hotels a year and have a record of which hotels are operated fundamentally correct. Sincerely & Kindly, John S.

Always loved Ibis chain in all cities and in strasbourg always stayed on Gare. This time took Halles as closer to the center. Location is great and hotel is nice, also parking is just under, which is important. However waiting time to check out was very long, just one lady was taking care of everyone.

Well located.

When we arrived we were a little bit disappointed. Parking was difficult - small spots and a lot of them where closed. When we came to our room the air con wasn’t working and the room isn’t big. Never mind we wanted to stay positive because we were going to stay for 4 days. When we came back the first evening the room was hot. At 23.00 I went down to inform that the air conditioning wasn’t working. The lady told me that it would not work for the next three days, but I could just open the window. We stayed at level 1, and had seen several people out on the rooftop, so we weren’t sure it would be safe. She told me, that she had never seen people out there, so that couldn’t be true. I got annoyed because, why should I lie. I was about to take the lift back, when I decided to go back and ask for an upgrade, and of course pay for it. Now there was a man and he was very helpful. He said, that we could move up to the 7th floor right away and we wouldn’t have to pay anything. He saved our vacation. Suddenly we could have the windows open all night and day without feeling unsafe. (Have had a break in before at a hotel, when we stayed at the 1. floor, and the window was halfway open). After that the hotel was just amazing. We enjoyed each day a delicious breakfast, staff was very helpful, the room got cleaned each day - so just perfect. The last evening we asked if - when they ordered break for breakfast- if the could order two extra baguettes for us, for our trip home. That they of course could to. What a hotel ❤️ Thank you so much. One last thing…the air conditioner wasn’t working when we left after four days. Just because it had been cold before we arrived it should still work. An air conditioner is either working or not. It shouldn’t take more than four days to start working because it has been cold outside. Also for the lady who said that she had never seen people with their dogs on the rooftop- I have a picture of it. All in all a lovely stay, best location and we will be back.

Room was good, nothing fancy but no complaints. Parking is directly under the hotel, but is also parking for the attached mall. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and drove around for at least 30 minutes before we were able to get a parking spot, it was very busy and full. Location was by far the best part of the hotel. Right across the river from tons of shops and restaurants. 10-15 min walk to the cathedral. I would definitely stay there again with no hesitation.

Well located. Could improve some small things.

Loved the location with the parking under the hotel. Minus was that the parking was privately owned and prices for parking were not clear upfront. The room was the best ibis room I experienced so far. Minus was the shower that was not made for people of my height (1.97m). If I stood upright, I tipped the plafond and the shower head was impossible to position for me. And I kicked my head to the support for the walk in shower screen. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Since it is a lively city and our room was center focused, nice for the view, but the party people were audible till late into the morning. Sidenote I wonder what the door between the bedroom and 'hallway' in the room is for?

Dear MAARTEN S., We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the ibis Strasbourg Centre Halles. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. We will share it with the personal. Thank you for them. Concerning the shower and the noise in the city, I'm afraid to not be able to correct it. But we understand the comments. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope your next visit will be as pleasant as the previous one. Sincerely, ibis Strasbourg Centre Les Halles

The view was excellent, centrally located. The family room allotted to us was actually suited for physically challenged people, water was coming out of the shower onto the dry floor. No hangers or a cupboard to hang jackets.

Dear MADHU B., Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the ibis Strasbourg Centre Halles. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Good base for tourists

Nice hotel located near the heart of the city. Car can stay parked while you explore Strasbourg. Three negative things are that construction in the hotel is going on and it can be noisy during the day. The hotel restaurant is not available on Sundays and one has to go to a near-by restaurant and lastly, parking in the garage is expensive and it would be grat if Accor could reach an agreement with the garage to achieve better rates for hotel guests (IBIS and Novotel.

Good access either by train or car. The parking, Sebastopol 2 entrance with the hotels’ signs will guide you to rows G or H. The direct access to the elevator is in row H. It would be good to have an agreement with the parking company for a bit cheaper rate. Good room and shower, a bit soft beds. Good breakfast sanitary settings and choises. Nice and helpfull staff. We would come back in other time to this hotel.

Breakfast is next to shopping mall, only divided with glass wall, feels like a fish in an aquarium. Personel did not react on people not respecting sanitary measures (mask). Hotel publishes witj parking available but that´s a public parking open to anybody at a rate of about 25€ a day

Great location, great view, great service but beware of dogs

The above title about saids it all. We stayed for 6 nights and it was a very nice stay. We got daily advice as to where to dine at local restaurants which were great value and very nice food. However we found it strange that dogs were allowed to stay at the hotel (I have been an Accor member for 10 years and I never have come across an Accor hotel that allowed dogs to stay covering from Ibis to Sofitel and all the different hotels in between) at a cost of 8 Euros per night! We were shocked to see dogs at the restaurant in the morning for breakfast and one morning a dog barked at me and had a go at my leg. Lucky the dog was on a short leash held by its owner. Very strange indeed!
