We only stayed one night. Found the bed comfortable, but the room rather small. Also some of the parking by other drivers left a lot to be desired.

The hotel is in nedd of some refurbishment, in particular in the bathroom, no hand rails and no anti slip surface in ghe bath.

Arrived late at night and left early morning. Not much chance to give an opinion. Parking of some guests left a lot to be desired. The bed was comfy but the room very small and not much room to move around.

Small room and dogs barking in next door bedroom

Well below par for the price paid. The room (117) was too small, the bathroom unpractical and even dangerous given how the shower is made. Next door bedroom had dogs barking from well after midnight. Location is good.

The room was clean and well prepared. It was far away from the city centre but it provided free parking which was secured. No comments for breakfast as it was not provided. Faced some problems with the magnetic key card - I had to go to reception every time to have the key reprogrammed. Stuff helpful and polite! Would recommend it for a nice, economic accommodation for a family.

excellent staff and accommodation pricing is average breakfast was not as good as it used to be and it appears that fewer staff are the reason and perhaps COVID regulations. location is excellent and we have been using the hotel for 15years +

Last time I stayed here 3/4 years ago it was a tired forgotten shell of it's former self. It has now been given a new lease of life. The night I stayed there was a,limited menu, but enough to satisfy a hunger. Staff were great! Rooms all redecorated and public areas welcoming. Highly recommended.

Very basic hotel. We choose this hotel as there is plenty of parking and only a 10 minute drive to the Port. Very expensive though for a one night stay.

Comfortable bed, very clean room, lacked tea and coffee sachets. Breakfast staff a little grumpy and lacking in topping up croissants etc Staff on reception extremely helpful went out of there way to be polite and helpful.

Poor choice for a stopover for early boat

Whilst the receptionist was very helpful, sadly the room let the Ibis down seriously. In the middle of the night the air conditioning unit started emitting peculiar noises to the point it had to be turned off. Next choice was leave window open - only to find on the flat roof outside was an extractor fan presumably for the kitchen which again was making noises , resulting in a very disturbed nights sleep. Not appreciated as we had an early start to catch ferry from St Malo to Jersey. Added to the hotel was the extremely poor quality of the food served at the adjacent Buffalo Grill - which appears to be part of the hotel as their is a coded door to the foot of their access steps. I ordered a steak - which one can only describe as tough enough to be used as a boot sole replacement. The first steak knife supplied was so blunt you could run your fingers on the blade without cutting yourself. The replacement was slightly better but again did not succeed in cutting the steak. The chef obviously had no pride in the quality of the food he served up, as it should never have left the kitchen. He obviously has little pride in his job in not checking the quality of the raw materials he buys in. All in all a very poor choice in the Ibis group stable. Not to be repeated - it’s the Mercure next time we need a stopover!
