« Very nice service »

As an English speaking guest who does not speak Portuguese I found that most of your staff spoke excellent English and made me feel welcome. And the staff that did not speak English were still very polite and accommodating when the realized I did not speak Portuguese. As a foreigner this type of customer service is highly valued and makes for a comfortable stay. In fact I stayed at 3 different Mecure hotels on this visit (also Itajai and Navegantes) and found the customer service at each to be very welcoming and pleasant.

« Nice bed, good sleep. No more highlights! »

Accor hotels offer good beds. Stayed 2 nights at Mercure Prinz, located in Joinvile, Brasil. Nice and quiet location. Service is good, as well restaurant. Room ar conditioning, sub-dimensioned and poorly positioned, forcing you to fix the directional fin to avoid the cold air flow directly towards you. Black-out curtains didn't close fully, preventing the room from going dark. Living termites found in bathroom indicating that a wooden furniture may be compromised by them. Breakfast too too expensive - almost US$12/person/day, considering that my wife's and my stay costed me US$55 , wo breakfast. Mineral water expensive as well - US$1,25 per 200ml bottle. One elevator (from a set of 2) out of order for one night. Annoying! It's a worn-out hotel building that requires a renovation

« Poor staff very old facilities »

Unprepared staff. Very old and smelly rooms. Charger me for a bucket of Ice. The location of very good but it is as if the hotel stayed freezed on the 90’s. Sincerely it does not fita into Mercure standards.

People were friendly and went out of their way to help us. We had extensive business meetings and they helped us with our crazy schedule, opening up the restaurant for a late lunch so we could meet with our contacts there.

WC is really very close to the wall making it so uncomfortable besides it was lose and unstable making it even dangerous. Also, it is a miracle somebody answer at room service and at front desk.

Everything happened as expected, with great quality and simplicity. I do have a feedback, though: The "main room" (where the small bed sits) there is no air conditioning. That made my sleep quite uncomfortable because days were hot and the air conditioner is not powerful enough to reduce the temperature of all rooms.

Good and large room - clean and well maintained. Good location of the hotel and staff very helpful. Breakfast nice served with good variety of items except for the quality of the coffee that was weak and overheated to keep warm.
