It's a fine hotel very near a metro station (2min walk) and not far from the suburban train station La Défense (15 to 20min walk depending on your pace). We found the breakfast expensive and therefore preferred to eat out.

As a 3 star hotel there is not even a tooth brush for the guest. The bath was clogging and no proper cleanliness.

friendly staff BUT terrible bed, small and old fashioned room

the man at the reception was very friendly. Arriving in the room it is very old fashion, not even a kettle to make a cup of tea. The bed was the worse part: hard like a piece of wood. I could not sleep and had to get up in the middle of the night to fold the thin mattress to be able to sleep... not a nice experience, woke up with back pain...

I always like to stay here as it's well located (Esplanade de la Defense) metro and reasonably priced for the location. The rooms are reasonably-sized and the bed is always comfortable. My only slight gripe is that you can't open the windows at all, and I do like a little fresh air.

When I arrived, I was given a room, which was nothing like what was in the picture during my booking - turns out I was given a room adapted for handicaps... I insisted to get a change of room, but because I had washed my hands in the room (ie, I had used the room), the reception wasn't very inclined to make the change, but they did at the end. Then there was an issue with the machine used to parameter the room cards, which didn't work, so each time I wanted to get into my room I had to be escorted by a member of the hotel staff so that they could badge me in. Problem was that not even their cards were working with my room and so I had to wait each time for someone from the building's security in order to get in my room - not very practical at all.

Room temperature and service

I stayed 2 nights that week. After the first night I informed the reception that the temperature in the room was too hot and that it could not be lowered ( airco did not work). They told me that they would look into it and if need be change my room. They would also call me back prior the evening. None of this occured and the reception was not aware of any arrangements. A real disappointment as I have another very unpleasant night. ( I am using Accor weekly throughout the year but this was a poor experience)

A fine place to rest your head

If you don't require anything fancy, this hotel will suit you fine. The room is quite small but okay if just one person, or a couple. I found the shower floor very slippery, and ended up slipping and cutting my foot on the drain, so be careful. Breakfast was not all that exciting. Lots of bread but not much else. The chocolate croissants were good. When I arrived, I had already checked in online for an arrival after 11pm. I got there just after midnight and was told initially that I didn't have a reservation. Eventually they found me, got me a key, and I was able to get in the room and get to sleep. Issues happen, but I didn't have much patience for it at midnight!

Clean room and friendly staff at reception. Chose not to have breakfast so I don't know how it is. It's a little expensive but it is right near the heart of la defense so the real estate is pricey, of course. However, it's difficult to get to by bus. Better to take the RER or metro.

Wasted nearly 2 hours waiting for our room to be ready only for the room to be wrong. Receptionists attitude was terrible and only apology was to give us 2 bottles of water! No manager available to deal with the problems. Definitely not value for money
