Hotel is in a good location. Parking was a bit challenging with all the corners. Personnel was friendly. Curtains were too short Room a bit out dated, dent in the door Rain pipe made a lot of noice during the night.

We were not happy with our overall stay. The rooms appeared shabby compared to the years we have stayed before. There were two of us in the room but only one bottle of free water. The staff were very unfriendly and rude (they did not acknowledge you for breakfast or smile and would push past you in the breakfast room) apart from the lovely tall lady in the bar, she was fun and friendly. We did complain about our shower being blocked and that was sorted quickly.

Location was fantastic. Breakfast was fine. No water was provided in the room, despite the notice on the fridge saying there was a bottle provided on arrival. Toiletries were a bit sparse. Only shampoo and shower gel provided. Additional toiletries were provided in some rooms. At a minimum I would also expect conditioner and perhaps a body lotion.

Well located, friendly staff, clean. Unfortunately the was some sort of a party in the building opposite my window, which wasn't very sound proof, so it was noisy and I slept poorly.

I requested during the check-in to made the invoice to my company address and I writte is down in the check-in form, I initially received the invoice with my home adddress, I have sent 3 emails to get someone to fix it, the first question they made is, which is the address, I indicated again, and they sent me an invoice with my previous addess and a comment in the botton. When someone ask for an specific address is for an specific reason, so next time I need to stay in Gent I will probably stay in another hotel that is able to indicate the correct address in the invoice, wihtout requesting it several times.

1. Welcome Drinks - "of your choice", but read the "small print"... 2. Chamber maid services - Poorest Choice to employ "Under-trained Africans", NO greetings, smile and seem like they're forced to do it out of money. IBIS is better option then w/ their team of Asians!

central located but a bit worn down

the hotel is centrally located, there are homeless people sleeping downstairs on the square though and people partying under the overhang till late on rainy nights it seems. The hotel itself is a bit worn down which you can see on the carpets, wallpaper and the painting of doors etc, as well as the bathroom. Beds are good, standard pillows can be replaced with spare ones if you want a different type. We booked a junior suite and the room and bathroom definitely were not as on the picture, probably the refurbished room is in the picture and we had a non-refurbished one. In the central lobby there was a clear issue with the sewer which caused quite a bad smell. Probably a temporary thing, but not pleasant for sure. Overall, acceptable hotel but definitely things to be looked at for a more pleasant stay and more positive review.

The refrigerator did not work, it was just blinking and not providing any cold. I told the reception and reply was to pull the cord. Well, that rarely makes refrigerators work. All other things were as I expect and want them on work trips. Good location, good breakfast, good bar for a break after work.

The experience was not good. The room was full of mosquitos and I could not sleep well at all. It was also very loud and I could here my neighbour and people on the streets very well.

1. Breakfast needs way more updating. I stayed in Brussels, Antwerp, Mons and Gent. This hotel had the worst breakfast of them all. 2. Parking is super tight! Ended up scratching my car while trying to get out of the parking garage! 3. A/C does not work!. It turns on but does not cool. Ended up getting 2 fans from front desk which where so small they caused not impact. 4. The only plus on this hotel is that is centric to all sites. However, as i walked around I noticed there were more hotels within the vicinity providing the same central location.

Put the bed 30cm further from the wall for more comfort. Now it is difficult to get in or out of bed. Very nice breakfast and good bed. Clean room and bathroom. Pleasant stay in the heart of the city.
