« Well-organised. Pleasant staff. »

Booking included breakfast but this wasn’t apparent to restaurant staff. Buffet breakfast terrible. Poor choice and lukewarm. Not topped up often enough too and when it was the newly cooked was just tipped on top of what was in the existing dishes. Ate in the restaurant only one evening. Mushroom fettuccine dish was overcooked and stodgy. Left most of it. Courtesy bus dropped me at domestic not international terminal - long walk with heavy case and backpack. Would I return here, probably not.

Because of my work I'm spending half of the year in hotels. I'm a platinum member at the Ritch Carlton. I decided to try something new. And unfortunately I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon.

« A tad old but well maintained with good room service »

Title says it all - a little dated but well maintained and the room service food is pretty good but pricey. Regardless, still one of the more consistent and nice hotels I can stay in near Silicon Valley with good access you SFO, downtown, and the valley.

When we got to our room there was a desk chair but to others....the table was there but no chairs? Getting the airport shuthe was a mess. No one could tell me where the shuttle was after we got our luggage....the hotel said it was at the airport but no way to contact. On our return to airport we were dropped at the wrong terminal. Jet Blue no longer is at the International terminal......for over 2 months.

Sunday breakfast was difficult. Waitress had probably too many tables and service was v v v slow. Breakfast the next two days at our AABGU meetings, and the lunch served on Monday was v good. I liked the hotel v much.

The AC didn’t work in our first room Friday night. The second night the TV didn’t work in the second room. There was no one in the marketplace to get coffee, even though it was open. Really?

Got in at midnight, out by 9. Impressed by the lobby, the service, the rooms. The only demerit, was the the breakfast ordering card in the room was from a prior guest and filled out.

« Too Expensive for Average Travelers »

We seated here because I had to have a surgical procedure that required me to lie flat for 3 days after. We needed to have a restaurant on site and necessities close by. The restaurant was SUPER expensive and Uber was too. We could have rented a car but your hotel charged 28/day for parking. All of this combined made it too expensive for us to continue our stay here.

Pullman hotel staff were friendly, helpful and made our trip that much fun. Sanaa was the staff that checked us in and out and she was very friendly and efficient and made our first trip to the Bay Area welcoming. The room was clean and will be definitely staying again.

Everything was good except that my room smelled liked cigarette smoke; it wasn't quite enough to make me ask for another room, and I opened the window wide to let in fresh air. I reported this immediately to the receptionist and advised her not to charge me the posted fine of $250. She said that housekeeping is supposed to report such a thing and get it cleaned up. Why wasn't this done? Another complaint is that there was only one method of covering myself for a night's sleep... a thick comforter... I was too hot under this and had to lower the thermostat to 62 degrees F and came home with a head cold. You should also provide a sheet and light blanket in the closet.

« restaurant menu is significantly improved! »

always enjoy staying at this hotel, even when it was a sofitel,. rooms are quite comfortable and quiet for example, but after changing to pullman things deteriorated a little---including a big reduction in personnel. but the worst deterioration was the dinner menu. happy to report that they have a new chef and the menu is very varied and quite good. still waiting for the free wall street journals to reappear in the morning, and for the wine prices to get back down. but overall now a good place to stay.

Satisfactory overall A few notes: 1) Not a huge issue- I was not informed prior nor at check in that I will get a handicap room(handicap room not requested)...I was hoping to have a room with a bath tub. 2) A charge at the bar (which I did not make) was made to my room and noticed at checkout...Perhaps better controls should be in place to prevent incorrect charges to ones room.
