« good room, hotel under construction »

The hotel was under construction, this was not communicated upfront nor reflected in the rates. As a result the bar and lobby where closed and a makeshift solution was in place. And the ground floor was dusty. The staff extremely went out of their way to deliver top service at check-in and getting the elevator for you. The rooms are very well soundproofed, bathroom was clean and a good shower. For a one night business stay, all that one needs.

hotel is being refurbished, but didn't state this before the visit. So ground floor was stuffy and breakfast a bit odd. Not worth the 180,- euro room

The location was within walking distance of work. The staff was pleasant and breakfast for the first few days was good. The hotel smelled funny like it was musty and they had a deodorizer to address it. The air handling system in my room didn't work so had to have my window open to get any air flow.

« Convenient location, delightful staff »

We arrived early evening and received a friendly welcome from the evening reception staff. They were helpful, humorous and just delightfully Parisian. The hotel is opposite the Metro and a few yards from the Pont de Bercy, so very convenient. The room was well furnished and was totally adequate for an overnight stay. The breakfast staff were also friendly and helpful and the breakfast had excellent choice. Would definitely stay again.

I was robbed in this hotel due to staff negligence - the door bell is not working so the receptionist left it open and two professional thieves went into kitchen and stole my bag while I was drinking tea at 23h. the thieves started spending money from my card immediately. I went to police. The next day I complained, was told that the hotel is public area and anybody can enter it. They are not responsible and after that the manager kicked out out in the street. The hotel is located in a very dangerous area also. I called and asked about hotel insurance but the response was the same.

Robbed at the hotel at night in the breakfast area/ bar. After door Bell was broken the receptionist decided to leave door open at night making the hotel accessible for anybody to enter. Zero help from deputy manager only got yelled at and verbally aggressors. Terrible experience not recommended to stay there

« Usual Mercure quality, but there are some issues »

I chose Hotel Mercure, because I know what I can expect. I chose an extra room (sorry can't remember its proper name) and was shocked to discover there is no proper chair/proper desk. This was very difficult. Additionally there are 3 steps towards the escalator - it made my life hell, when I could hardly walk. Otherwise the staff was helpful, we even made toast one evening.

« Nice personal and comfortable room »

The personal was very nice and could help me in everyrhing I needed. The breakfast was huge and tasty and I had a large choice what I wanted to eat that day. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Only the pillows were a little hard, but maybe if I had asked at the reception I'd get new ones.

« not meeting expectations »

Ok. Bathroom sink was blocked even though I've asked the desk to fix it. Same for shower sink. really annoying. Room looks not clean and is smelly of chemicals like the rest of the hotel. No organic fresh fruits/no fresh fruits available. Breakfast very very poor, not at the level of what's expected from a 4* hotel from accor in paris. Understaffed resources during breakfast can't handle the rush since the hotel is full. Only reason i'm not rating at 1 is that the room was noiseless.
