« Clean, warm, good staff »

Very good was that I immediately received the room keys and could rest after long night trip. The Receptionist was very nice and attentive. Breakfast not very diverse, but answered well the price.

Electrical Sockets at desk in room 512 broken. Bath shower Glas shield had a damage lower seal. Desk chair had tissue on backrest ripped.

The hotel was in a great location for NATO and the Airport. The lobby was nice and the bar and restaurant were very nice. Delicious food and nice selection of beers.That staff was all very nice and friendly. The rooms were okay. The layout of the rooms and bathrooms were nice but the showers could use some new grout or caulk to give them a face lift. The rooms were also very warm and the circulation dial in the room did not work. But over all it was a nice place to stay.

« Dated hotel »

The location was the main reason for choosing this hotel as it is close to an office I had meetings at. The hotel rooms are very dated and smell a little musty. The bed was very firm and the pillows were so small and thin I need 3 to be anywhere near comfortable. The onsite restaurant was ok but expensive. Overall value for money was poor and I would not stay again given the choice.

Unfortunately the hotel suffered from an inability to regulate the heating system, which required us to use the windows to keep the temperature at a reasonable 22 degrees Celsius.

The hotel was grossly hot, the furniture in the rooms disgustingly tired and the condition / maintenance of the corridors etc significantly below what I believe I should expect of a Mercure.

« Maybe too hot in rooms »

This was not the first time in your hotel and I have to recognize that the quality of rooms satisfy me but, in this occasion the rooms heating system was to high. I asked for stop it and the offer was the possibility to change the room, but the problem was the same in all rooms, (we were three persons of the same group with the same problem). It could be interesting if the centralized heating system was no so high temperature. First time I do not provide a "10" to my stay.

The room was ok, the employees there are really nice and helpful. The restaurant for the dinner and the breakfast were good and tasty (a bit expensive). They have nice beers and the free wifi is fast enough.

« Very nice personnel, hotel itself needs a facelift »

The personnel in the hotel is very nice. Friendly and very helpful. I have been to this hotel several times before but it stood out that the quality of the room was getting old. Shower was full of mold, carpet was worn out, air conditioning was not working properly, the window almost fell out while opening it (this was fixed later on).

« Almost an airport hotel »

Not really an airport hotel when the shuttle only runs early morning and evening. Anything in daytime means a €20 taxi fare. We selected this hotel based on free shuttle, and I couldn't find any reference to limited hours on the web site, so we only found out when we got to the airport. Might as well stayed in the city. For this reason we would look elsewhere next time. Front desk staff were attentive, but we had to quite particular for directions to city. A printed sheet with public transport options would be good. Restaurant staff a little less engaging, particularly at breakfast. Had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to attend to coffee machine, and only prompted by me half disassembling to refill water. The tray with baked beans, tomato and whatever else was supposed to be there wasn't replenished during our breakfast at all. Dinner was limited choice, but what we selected was very nice, and the wine (Sauvignon) by glass was excellent. shower had fantastic rain head. Bed was comfortable but second pillow was only a cushion. As some other reviews had noted , just about every switch was covered with dust, maybe the type of plastic but was pretty obvious so should have wiped in cleaning. Couldn't get the room cool on first night, so slept with window wide open on second night

I have stayed quite a few times in a Mercure hotel so there were no big surprises. However, I feel there is a disconnection between the loyalty program and the hotels. In my profile I have expressed my preference for high floors, away from elevator and shower instead of bath. Everything was ignored. You need to do something about it.

Not satisfied of my stay, the shuttle didn't run after 8pm and not at all on Friday afternoon, do we had to add the expense of a taxi to get there in addition of already very high rate hotel! The website therefore is deceptive as it doesn't specify the shuttle stops that early!!! The bathroom (shower was blackened with mold! Not what you expect in a hotel Mercure of that price. The staff was nice though.
