On the whole okay but rooms never cleaned during our stay supposedly because of COVID but other hotels I’ve been in recently still came and cleaned on a daily basis. Told by reception bar open until 12.30 in the evening but bar staff said stopped at 11 pm yet some staff would sell draught beer after 11 some staff would only sell bottled drinks - no definite time as to sale of drinks and closing time which was annoying. Breakfast was okay but you had to wait ages for fried eggs as lady behind the counter didn’t keep them flowing even though she could see people waiting for them which isn’t good when the rest of the food on your plate is going cold

Nice clean rooms with a good third sleeping couch as bed. Very good breakfeast. The staff is very friendly. Overall we had a very pleasant stay with the whole family.

All in all a good hotel, paying parking on the hotel premises, friendly helpful staff , nice room, good breakfast, outdoor pool area with possibility to enjoy a drink or a meal, restaurant not bad for a evening meal after a shopping spree in the city, I can definitely recommend.

We are used to American and Thailand holidays, so in those places the service is always spot on, if not over the top, that was not the case in this hotel. We asked for sugar and tea to be brought up to our rooms, never happened, drinks at the bar took far to long to make. For the rest we only had breakfast that was good, the room was good, although we had ordered one delux two person bedroom and two standard two person bedrooms, the girl at the desk said that all the rooms were the same, well you do not want to stay in room 124 (is more a one person room not big enough for two), that is not the same as rooms 411 and 111. For the rest everything was clean and friendly.

Pluses: staff (e.g. Jason), room Negatives: I accept that the Netherlands has a much more relaxed attitude to Covid-19 than here in France (none of the staff wore masks) and that's reflected in the steps taken at the hotel but some things could be improved, e.g. some serving staff wore gloves, some didn't. There wasn't anyone on the desk for breakfast service for large periods of time so anyone could walk in and take a seat (without their 1 or gloves). One day we all had to use 2 gloves for the buffet (good), next day it was one (not so good). Our room appeared quite clean but there was an old bar of soap in the shower so I question whether it was cleaned properly. Other things - 8 euros a night to park at a hotel in the middle of nowhere is a bit cheeky. The bill created for the automated checkout was very wrong but it was corrected before we left the hotel. Overall, a nice hotel with good staff and Covid-19 protocols in line with Dutch standards but not good enough for me

Overall satisified, but not happy about the fact that I could not pay my stay with my earned Accor points (I accumulated more than 35.000 points in the past). I checked one week before arrival with the hotel how this should be done nowadays. In the past I had to print out all the vouchers, which then had to be tediously entered into the system. I was told that this was no longer necessary and that my points account could be debited at check-out in the hotel. However, the system did not work. In order not to hold up the receptionist (named Charlotte) it was agreed that my Amex account would be debited. They would fix it later and then credit my Amex account. I was told I should get feedback in a few days. I checked out on July 23 and we are now July 27th and I have not heard anything yet ...

A very nice experience overall. Front office staff deserve a special note for their support and resilience given the strange times. Family room is in line with novotel standards. The smell on the coridors was quite unpleasant.

The smell in the coridors might come from the desinfection spray that we now use more frequently in the corridors to be on the safe side, however we also find the smell of the spray a bit too strong and we will look for other options. Well located next to the highway when passing through from Spain to Travemunde. Open during Corona times. Restaurant closed, but breakfast served to the room. We were very well received

Novotel is the best place to stay in Maastricht. It is a bit far from the city center. But it has everything you need after all: nice room with shower and cozy bed.
