Despite the fact that all the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming we were disappointed with the hotel. Because of Corona we had dinner and breakfast in our room. With two adults and two children there was quite bit of mess. I asked twice for a hoover or brush to sweep the floor but never got one. For dinner, we got a local takeaway but were charged 1.50 euros each for a paper plate and plastic cutlery by hotel reception so that we could eat it. It wasn't so much the money as the message it gave off "we're happy to have you stay during Corona but if you don't eat from out restaurant we'll charge you". The breakfast was also quite basic, I had expected more. I also found it a little strange that even though the hotel was outside the city centre that guests had to pay to park at the hotel but maybe this is normal for some hotels.

We stayed as a family for 1 night but we very much enjoyed the friendly staff and the many things to do for children. Although I would not think of Novotel as a family hotel at first sight, it certainly was.

Nice hotel, a little outside the city centre. Dinner and breakfast organised in the room. Worked out well. Room was clean, bed good, only the pillows are a disaster.

Stay was good. COVID-19 regulations were followed accordingly. I slept very well in the bed and the facilities were nice. The only thing missing from the room, very minor, was a shower cap and the shower head also did not hold up properly (the hose was bent a little, which meant that it was difficult to have the shower head straight, room 405). I was unfortunately woken up by two teenage girls who were running down the corridor and screaming, multiple times. This was quite annoying, but I know that it is not the hotels fault, so I didn’t include this in the scoring.

Room was ok but due to Covid-19 situation cleaning was not performed during our stay. Explanation on the reasoning was a bit weak. The staff friendliness at breakfast was not to great. We were as family placed/split over 2 different tables. When asking for a solution the response was in first instance not friendly and not possible. After insisting a solution was provided. First night no option for dinner possible (but no options to go out as all restaurants closed) no alternatives mentioned by hotel. Second night dinner. One of the dishes was prepared/cooked well but was pretty tasteless. We have noticed this to the waiter who said I will discuss with the kitchen but he did not came back with any response. I didn't expect a solution or what so ever but if you insist to discuss with kitchen a report back would be nice.

We vinden het erg jammer om te horen dat niet duidelijk is gecommuniceerd aan u waarom de kamers niet schoongemaakt worden. Dit is vanwege uw gezondheid en onze medewerkers. Wij betreden zo min mogelijk de hotelkamers ivm eventuele verspreiding van aerosolen die kunnen zorgen voor Corona besmetting. Mijn welgemeende excuses omtrent uw restaurant bezoek bij ons. Zowel voor het ontbijt als diner, zullen wij dit intern bespreken zodat we dit in de toekomst kunnen voorkomen. Mocht u verder nog vragen of opmerkingen hebben aarzel dan niet om ons te contacteren. The team was very friendly and professional; the room was not very clean, no inside shoes provided by the hotel and the floor was unclean. (We also have a toddler who is crowling and playing on the floor). In general, it was good, But now how we experienced in other Novotel hotels.

The people of the hotel were very helpful and kept an eye on covid rules. We were offered another room after our first night with not that much sleep because our kids couldn't sleep in 1 2-persons bed. Great service! The food was nice and also for the kids there was enough to offer.

On the whole okay but rooms never cleaned during our stay supposedly because of COVID but other hotels I’ve been in recently still came and cleaned on a daily basis. Told by reception bar open until 12.30 in the evening but bar staff said stopped at 11 pm yet some staff would sell draught beer after 11 some staff would only sell bottled drinks - no definite time as to sale of drinks and closing time which was annoying. Breakfast was okay but you had to wait ages for fried eggs as lady behind the counter didn’t keep them flowing even though she could see people waiting for them which isn’t good when the rest of the food on your plate is going cold
