I reserved a room without a sofa. The reception gave me a room with sofa. Carpets in the room are outdated and not very hygienic.

It was okay. Disappointed by the experience for the full price. context: COVID times, weekday stay, awful weather: - we were requested for an earlier check-in at our arrival at 12.30 because the hotel wasn't at at full capacity. But was only possible with a surcharge. We had to come back for the check-in at 2.00pm. - we only requested for a bright room , instead we were given room 313 that faces the residence building and no direct sunlight (by the way, no privacy with onlookers from the opposite building). - bath-tub is quite small and won't fit a bulky person

Good experience, Only negative point, I would have preferred knowing that the room would not be cleaned before I booked and paid, and not after.

We booked the hotel for 3 days in May. Overall experience was very average as most of the services in the hotel were closed due to Covid restrictions. We had a todler and there was nothing (as announced on the website) in hotel for the kids. The breakfast was delivered in the room and was not worth of what being charged. We requested late check-out on the last day, as it was raining heavily and we had some time to kill before our train back to Paris. We were charged by hour for late check-out. Being ACCOR group member, did not help either as we were told that the late check-out was allowed only on Sunday and not on Saturday. We were little surprised with this demanding gesture as the hotel was pretty empty. But, overall the hotel is well located, accessible by tram and bus. You can walk to the Bordeaux center.

Hotel is recently refurbished and rooms are comfortable. Staff is very nice. I found the rooms overpriced as there is absolutely NO housekeeping done during the stay and some of the amenities have been removed (like porcelain cups, try figure out why...). Similarly, room service, which is the only option if you don't want to get delivery for outside has a set menu with a few choices and the dishes are small, poorly presented and overpriced

Great stay, horrible reception team. My room card had to be re-activated on a daily basis, I was overcharged and I still haven't received an accurate invoice after calling reception on numerous occasions and sending several emails.

checked in late following drive from Calais, very tired, the receptionist was very helpful and quickly arranged a room for us, explaining the layout of the hotel and where to park our car. Very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast nice, plentiful and hot. Will definitely stay here on next visit.

FOR A GLOBAL BRAND LIKE NOVOTEL (ACCOR), THE HOTEL ROOM WAS PRETTY NOT WELL MAINTAINED WITH THE BED SHEETS DIRTY 2X. WITHOUT AMENITIES AND WHEN AVAILABLE THE BASICS SUCH WAS A REGULAR COFFEE PACKET MISSING.

We did not like our stay at the Novotel. The room "pretended" to have a large window as the curtains covered the whole wall, however there was only a small window. The shower constantly changed temperature, so using the shower was unpleasant. We got woken up quite early by an employee who knocked at our door, which was to suppose to be at another room. In addition, we forgot something in the room and asked the hotel to let us know whether they still had it. We did not get any response from them. We would not recommend this hotel, unless your stay is only for the night.

Good facilities but service was inattentive

The hotel itself was fine, as expected - we are frequent Accor hotel users - but after the initially very helpful check-in service, staff were not supportive or very observant. No-one attending the bar at 6pm on a Friday evening. I was told by the receptionist - quite sniffily - that it wasn't his job, he would find the barman. The barman did turn up after 15 minutes, and was very friendly, but really, at that time on a Friday evening? Breakfast was a shambles - very poor. The queue for the (single) coffee machine was huge, and trailed right back through the desk, therefore all of the people waiting to have their room number taken had to mix with all of those trying to get coffee. This, despite an unused coffee machine on the bar! Clearly, no-one in the staff had bothered to respond to the obvious chaos, and consider how to alleviate the crowding and delays.
