Comfortable room, usual facilities, have stayed before so I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, the breakfast, even though I had paid for a full breakfast, turned out to be just a simple continental offering. This I could't understand since this was the third hotel I had stayed in on this break and the other 2 were able to offer full cooked fare. The last night I was there, there was an issue with the hot water and therefore, not warm water for washing/showering. No compensation/refund offered

Overall, my stay at the ibis in Southampton was good. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The necessary COVID-19 restrictions were well thought out. I had a couple of minor problems during my stay but the staff dealt with quickly.

I was disappointed with my choice. I paid in excess of £70 to stay in this hotel with my dog, in a pretty basic room, with barely any air, overlooking the expensive hotel car park which seemed noisy almost all night, not helped by the hotels irrigation system coming on at 4am, with most of the pipe work lying on the terrace outside my window so flooding the terraced roof. I appreciate Covid-19 is not doing us any favours, but the breakfast choice for me, was a complete no no, and to only offer snacks for evening meals, when I had done just shy of 200 miles, I felt was absurd. I had not realised at any point of my booking that the hotel should not be able to feed me. And I had purposely not chosen the Ibis Budget for exactly that reason, though as it turned out, it was operating anyway! I ate that evening at the Novotel across the carpark so do manage to get an ok supper, though as an overall package costing on excess of £100 I was not amused.

First if coming by car using a gps set it for Ikea and turn into the turning just before Ikea then left at the roundabout by TGI Friday and into the car park ahead. The Ibis is comfortable with the usual features, bathroom, desk and A/C. Breakfast is done by a pre-order form and you need to go to reception to get it. Some people were eating theirs in the breakfast room but others like us took it to the room. There is a McDonalds on site for hot food. When we were there the Ibis Budget appeared to be closed and their clientele were transferred into the Ibis hotel. A number of those transferred were young people who went out socialising then came back at 4 in the morning and made a lot of noise outside. The bar is still available and the prices are reasonable for a hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is available on site at £10 for 24 hours.

Excellent stay. staff were very efficient and welcoming. Good job.

We were disappointed that many public using the hotel did not follow the government ruling to wear face masks around the hotel , especially in the lift. Also our take away breakfast was well presented on the first day , but on the second we were an apple and orange drink missing which we had to go to reception to collect , and there was no milk for our tea , or sugar . The croissants on the first day were in a paper bag inside the breakfast bag , but the second day they were loose being contaminated from ceareal boxes , and other items loose within the bag , not very hygienic .

Thank you Ibis Team :) Room was very quiet, check in with Barry was smooth and easy! Hotel is made covid-secure, felt very safe in the lobby. Location is great, for day hikes all around Southampton. See you next time!!

First time in any hotel after lock-down I was quite nervous but soon put at ease (if there is such a thing at the moment. Staff friendly as ever Socially distancing in place (Although some idiots decide it's OK not to wear face coverings when moving around in communal areas. Table service for bar Room clean on arrival Any replacements for the room - just ask TV repaired when I was out remote control cleaned and left on bed ready for use Overall thumbs up from me

Good check in experience. The room shows signs wear based on curtains had 2-3 holes and carpet is rather dirty. It would be interesting to compare this hotel to the sister hotel (Ibis Budget) next door as it looks newer than this Ibis.

The room was not what I have expected and it’s not what you see on app , horrible breakfast not even cooked I didn’t enjoy my stay at ibis,I think I will not book ibis hotel again my first experience was not good at all worse I have paid lots of money my two days stay was horrible

Hotel was nice actually better than expected. Barry is great and made our stay smooth a possible. Breakfast was good and hotel has a great location and is a short walking distance from everything you would need.
