« good hotel »

went for valentine's day, ask to have champagne and other stuff but there were nothing in the room when I get in.. I specifically asked for it at a time and sent two emails before coming to be sure. for the price that I paid and for such a hotel like this, It Is not acceptable. also for breakfast, I asked for a simply plein omlet, and I never received it.. 4 is just because the room was ok an I slept well.

My brand new Calvin Klein white dress that i just wore for the first time was spoilt by the laundry services. I am so hurt and disappointed. Will never stay here again. So many other clothes were spoilt too..apparently, the laundry person did not do a proper colour separation I am reachable on oo… if you need more details

Isabelle at the reception provided excellent service throughout my stay. She was very responsive, and helpful. 5 star all the way. I gave 7 star because apparently you no longer offer the complimentary chocolate cookies. I also order well done steak 2 days running and they were practically burnt, I went to a restaurant down the road and had a well done steak and it was much better.

« Hotel needs renovation »

Nothing exciting. Stayed with you about 5 years ago and had good memories. This time I was I impressed. Hotel and room looked tired, nothing special about the room.

« Nice luxury hotel »

Nice luxury hotel @ good location near shopping street Luisalaan. Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant was being refurbished at the moment of our stay but that did not impact our experience. Only downside is the gym: very small with limited equipment .

Not warned of ongoing renovations. Limited choices on the dinner menu. Furniture in the (temporary) restaurant looked tired. No parking in front of the hotel when we arrived by car.

The stay was only okay. The man at the entrance door doesn't greet the guests, I had to say hallo first. The room was nice and clean but had some small technical issues. I really loved the idea of calming tea that the housekeeping brings to the room in the evening, but there were no tea cups in the room... I didn't quite get the idea of breakfast: a staff member leads you to the table and offers to take a seat, you have to order coffee or tea and warm meals while sitting at the table and then stand up and go to take cold part of the breakfast. Maybe it would be more convenient to ask for the warm meals when you ask the room number, just an idea. And coffee was brought at once, so my cappuccino was almost cold when I finished eating and wanted to drink my coffee. I would prefer to make my coffee by myself when I want it. Or you could have a person at the bar who could take such orders. But in overall, breakfast was delicious: good quality, fresh and lots of choices.

Good stay. As a diamond customer of Accor I get upgrades very often and on this occasion I got an upgrade to a suite. The suite itself has good space and a decent and comfortable bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was fine (the bar & restaurant with a view on Brussels currently is in refurbishment but I expect that not to last very long). Unfortunately most staff don't speak Dutch, which for me as a Flemish citizen of Belgium is a major letdown. Belgium has three official languages: Dutch, French and German (a tiny area), and most staff don't speak the mother language of the largest population: Dutch. An improvement here is overdue.

« Great location, Small Rooms »

My father and I enjoyed our stay at Sofitel, although the experience could have been improved. Valet parking was expensive, so we did not choose this option and instead used a nearby garage. Because we booked with American Express, we had a $100 voucher for the restaurant and bar, which was a nice touch. We had a lovely dinner our last night there, completely paid for. We had issues with the heating system in our room - the central air was not able to be programmed and was thus too cold. The staff remedied the situation with a space heater which did not work well enough. For $300+ per night, this is simply unacceptable. Beds were small but comfortable but the room was a big small. For a similar price, we were able to get an executive suite in the heart of Paris a few days later. Overall, it was a nice experience but I don't think I would return.

I didn't spend a huge amount of time in the hotel but the time I did stay was good. In particular the staff were very helpful at breakfast. The refurbishments meant that having a drink in the bar in the evening did't feel natural since it was co-located with the restaurant.

« Great location, friendly staff, rooms can be a bit better maintained. »

Breakfast was really nice, Karima is great with guest service! before arrival i had contact with Isabelle, she took really good care of my room requests, also when i met here at the reception she dirrectly recognized my name and asked if the room was good. About the room, there where a few things that needed to be fixed (reported the important things at check-out) for a 5 star hotel the room should be maintained a bit better. Other notes: - The room directory is not up-to-date, prices parking are old. - Not enough power sockets next to the bed. - The rooms at the front of the hotel are noisy, we requested this room for the view, but the noise from the club's are really a point that you won't expect from a Sofitel. - For future renovations, add a hammam / sauna and this will be a perfect hotel for a weekend away.

« Hotel smells »

The hotel has a stuffy smell when you enter. My room smelled stuffy and old, as though chemicals had been used to disguise other odors. I opened the windows for 20 minutes before bed. I would have requested a different room if it was not 2330h and I was only staying one night.

« Bland »

the beds are super comfy but there are a number of small niggles. the room is too hot and the only way to cool it down is open the window which is noisy and then whoever came in and closed the curtains shut it so was too hot for sleeping. No breakfast tea bags in room. No water (well there was, previous resident half drunk bottle) and no milk. why put tiny amounts of fruit in individual glass bowls at breakfast????

« The staff! »

You need to change your web page as it can be understood you have a shuttle bus service to/from the airport. You clearly do not. Despite the fact we had done the electronic check in on the web and check in was confirmed you started the process all over again on arrival. When this is said we really enjoyed the attention from your staff, reception, restaurant and bar. The room was orderly and good job there as well!
