We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, they more than made up for any shortcomings we encountered. Breakfast was great, it was run very efficiently and the spread of food available was excellent. We did not request an accessible room but were given 424 which was adequate. Very surprised at the lack of air conditioning or even air circulation. The fan went some way to alleviating this but during the summer this must be very unpleasant. I would point out that leaving the fan on a top shelf would not have been helpful to anyone with a disability. Since I have been employed as a carer, this was a glaring error. Nor was there a plug in the small basin (for wheelchair users) in the bathroom, the shower dripped constantly and loudly but on the plus side both red cords were correctly hanging from floor to ceiling. We have stayed at this hotel over a period of years and the standard has noticeably deteriorated. However, we made the best of it, enjoyed our stay and as I say, the staff were without exception excellent. We attended the P&O lunch which went very well.

Found the room a bit pokey and the shower small. But the staff were good. Towel left hung up for saving water and wasn't just automatically charged - good.

For a 4 star hotel I was disappointed you had no restaurant with a 4 star evening meal, just pub food, so we eat out, loss of revenue for you... the breakfast however was excellent.

Merilly on reception (not sure if I've spelled her name correctly) was lovely and looked after myself and the two ladies I was supporting for an overnight stay prior to going on a cruise. The hotel is ideally located near the port and a retail park. The gentleman in the restaurant called Colin is lovely too and assisted with all our needs. Thank you, we will be staying again in the future.

I tend to visit this hotel on a monthly basis and i personally feel the level of service is excelent and the hotel is ideally placed and a perfect choice for that business meeting or pleasure trip in and around the area . Only negative which i along with several other people have previously mentioned is the security staff at the door and in the hotel entrance is very very off putting and can't understand why as its a bad look for the quality hotel you are trying to promote . Four security sat outside on the table and chairs smoking and playing on there phones isnt a great advertisment as anyone arrives and not cost affective ..... other people mentioned it during my stay so its being observed and needs addressing . But hey ....... keep up the good work and with a Smile !!!!

Great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful very good facilities and in a very good location. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of variety to suit everyone’s needs. Only thing I could say as a negative was the room was a bit to warm for my liking but apart from that A great experience at the Hotel

Hotel was clean and the food was good. Stayed there to get to the cruise port and they called a taxi for us. The front desk lady was able to print our Covid test which we needed.

Clean, comfortable room. Staff on the welcome desk were quick and helpful. Pool lovely and clean. We had breakfast in the restaurant the following morning. Good choice of food and the staff were fantastic. We have two small children and they couldn’t do more to accommodate us. Would definitely stay again if we were visiting Southampton.

It was great food and excellent service we met our expectation, location is right in the heart of the city. We love the place, all around the hotel shopping centre the restaurant, the pool is bit cold overall it very good.
