We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, they more than made up for any shortcomings we encountered. Breakfast was great, it was run very efficiently and the spread of food available was excellent. We did not request an accessible room but were given 424 which was adequate. Very surprised at the lack of air conditioning or even air circulation. The fan went some way to alleviating this but during the summer this must be very unpleasant. I would point out that leaving the fan on a top shelf would not have been helpful to anyone with a disability. Since I have been employed as a carer, this was a glaring error. Nor was there a plug in the small basin (for wheelchair users) in the bathroom, the shower dripped constantly and loudly but on the plus side both red cords were correctly hanging from floor to ceiling. We have stayed at this hotel over a period of years and the standard has noticeably deteriorated. However, we made the best of it, enjoyed our stay and as I say, the staff were without exception excellent. We attended the P&O lunch which went very well.

Found the room a bit pokey and the shower small. But the staff were good. Towel left hung up for saving water and wasn't just automatically charged - good.

Attended function so convenient to stay at hotel. Room was basic but functional. Toilet access was a little tight but doable
