Agreed late checkout turned bad

It was a nice stay but it was a bit tarnished by the issue that was brought up when checking out. A late checkout was agreed the day before the checkout but when I was in a rush and reactivating my card again, then the receptionist wanted to charge me for the late check out. Something that wasn't agreed before hand.

Good location, easy parking for travel by car. Travelled for the European veteran’s fencing event in Faches. It provided easy access to the event. Breakfast was good - had various gluten free bread products for breakfast. Room was excellent.

Good except for electric car charge

The hotel and the rooms are pretty big. Rooms are nice for short stays. No major complaint except for the electric charging devices (that are independent from the hotel) but were not functioning even though I had asked them beforehand for the charging device. Getting there at night with freezing temperature trying for 45 minutes to make it function, call the company (no answers...) was not a relaxing experience. Had to go to another hotel and walk back to charge the car !

booking, checking in, staff attention all v good. In particular as I am a regular visitor to this hotel I was very pleased when erica recognised me from my previous visit in november and also remembered the particular room I requested. excellent customer service.
