Spend thre nights at teh hotel, very nice setting, newly redecorated ( not all rooms) and pleasant and helpful staff. We were ther to organsie a house move and stressed and it was a pleasure to go to the hotel in the evenings for diner and sleep.

Everything was good.

this was a nice stay. Good reception, very good bed and also the restaurant is nice. The fitness room is a bit of a disappointment compared with the rest of the hotel. They are old and are not working as they should. In my opinion with a small investment, it could make the 'make-over" of the hotel complete.

Enjoyed the stay.. welcoming reception, large rooms.. totally functional ...with everything you need, and the opportunity to move things around as you like them (table with wheels, two big chairs, footstool).. Nespresso coffee machine for a proper cup of coffee.. good choice of lighting, choice of pillows, comfy bed, dressing gown.. and all spotlessly clean. A downside for a Brit may be the lack of British TV Channels.. very limited to News or Movies.. (provided the movie being shown is in English...otherwise you'll be watching German or French or..) The location is great.. directly outside is the frequent Transpole Tramway leading to Lille or Tourcoing.. easy to use and much better than trying to park in city centres..

After a long drive the welcome from Sebastian was just what was needed, efficient, pro-active and friendly; this is the man every weary traveller wants to meet. Likewise when we took dinner in the restaurant Sevreine looked after us brilliantly, for a hotel this place has excellent food. We default here as the product is very good, lots of parking and 90 minutes from Calais also with a decent breakfast.

we're making a habit of staying there. Why? Because of its location, its secure parking, its comfortable rooms with a good mattress and excellent shower and also a great breakfast. A tram stop across the road gets you into the centre of Lille quickly and there are also very good restaurants within walking/a couple of tram stops distance. No review should go without mentioning the staff and here they are a credit to the hotel. We had a really warm welcome (loved the 'braderie survival kit', that was such a nice touch) and the other staff we encountered at breakfast were also polite, cheerful and helpful. Although the rooms may be getting a little bit scuffed and worn (we'd stayed in another Mercure hotel the previous two nights which had been recently refurbished), the customer service was good enough to let us ignore this!

Chose the Mercure Metropole as we were doing day trips by car to the WW1 battlefields in southern Belgium, and meeting friends from the UK (Eurostar). Has pretty good facilities for business meetings / groups, but perhaps not aligned with holiday travellers. The restaurant staff were abrupt, even to the point of clearing our table of all plates / utensils while we were selecting items from the buffet! It means someone has to stay and guard the table..... On our day of departure (after 4 nights), the hotel had no water supply due to maintenance works - but there was no warning of this and it was a bad way to start out a day of travel. The manager did at least provide some compensation by deleting the evening drink we had at the bar the night before (a shame we didn't have more than one drink!) In short, nothing too fancy - but pretty good value and rooms meet expectations.

Concerning the break of water on the hotel, who was totally independent from our will, we were informed about this by our service provider only a few hours before, explaining of this fact the lack of information. This information must indeed be transmitted to you from your check-in to the hotel. Also, a particular attention will be concerned your remarks concerning our restaurant team, this behavior not being usual within our establishment. Close to motorway, but sat nav assistance for last 1km much appreciated. Unimposing from outside, but very warm welcome & able to check in before midday. Standard room was very comfortable & well lit & a view overlooking lawns & trees rather than the car park was appreciated. We benefited from a set menu dinner which we were surprised to see on a Saturday evening. An excellent breakfast was part of our pre-pay deal. Service was prompt & efficient (eg for extra pillows, tea etc.)

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay. I was playing hockey and needed a hotel which would be good for my wife while I was away playing. Could not have picked a better place. Easy to get to from Brussels Airport and ample free parking. Rooms and beds very large. A free safe and fridge was included! We had a steak dinner on our first night and it was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent, loads of choice. The weather was fantastic so we made use of the back terrace plus a stroll along the canal at the rear of hotel. There is a tram stop really close - cheap ride into the centre of town. Everything very clean and staff always had a smile. Highly recommended.

Staff very friendly and the accessible room was excellent for a wheelchair user who can only walk a couple of steps with support. The breakfast was also excellent and the general amentities, again for a wheelchair user particularly, were very good.

I have stayed on this hotel several times and it's been ok. This time was different. The hotel is under renovation and the lobby is a mess as well as the lift. I must admit that it's strange to pay normal price when the hotel is not fully functioning. I could not get the lift to work and had to find someone from the hotel to help me.

This was a 4 day stay and my first visit.Everything about this hotel is large and impressive. The entrance, the trees and landscaping, the massive entrance lobby, the bedrooms and of course the bath!!. The staff were all very responsive and helpful including the Reception, the bar and the restaurant. The breakfast buffet counter went on and on. Best have a good look first. I understand this hotel started out as a Sofitel which is probably why everything is large. I ought to add that my stay was during August and none of the many seminar rooms were in use. The tram stop is very close and a 10 journey ticket good value. Thoroughly recommended and I hope to return soon.

My family and I stayed at the hotel for two nights in September 2014. The hotel is nicely located outside Lille and in a quiet area (walking trails nearby). Lille is easily accessible (20 min) by light rail system: the station is across the street from the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the service was excellent. We enjoyed lunch and breakfasts in the hotel restaurant. This was an excellent stay. We shall return.

We arrived early but the very helpful receptionist assured us we could get into our room immediately. She also helped us with information regarding trams and ticket information along with lots of other helpful hints for our stay in Lille. Our superior double was excellent with plenty of complementary coffee and tea. The free car parking was good. The tram stop at the entrance to the hotel runs every ten to fifteen minutes and takes you into the centre of Lille. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The scrambled eggs, cooked to order, were delicious.

The hotel is not close to the city centre but very close to the ring road. Rooms were suprisingly spacious and quiet. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. I didn't take advantage of the hotel restaurant but the bar was large and inviting.
