I stayed at the Mercure Hotel, Tilburg for the second time since October 2022. This time I travelled with my husband, two daughters and son. I booked two rooms one a twin room and the other a triple. at booking I requested that the rooms be nearby. I was assured by Rob in an email that " We are going to try to put the room as close as possible right now the rooms will be diagonally from each other". This turned out to be on two different corridors being room 206 and 216. having spoken highly after our previous stay at the Mercure my son and daughter were shocked to find a dirty sock under one of the twin beds. Not only that but I had to report to reception that the bathroom in room 206 had not been cleaned properly and also that there was trash under our bed. I took pictures and showed staff at reception. We received a complimentary drink for room 216 and also for room 206 which in my mind was not enough of a compensation for being placed in dirty rooms. I can understand if there is an oversight in one room but to have both rooms , is unforgivable.

I used to go a lot to the MErcure in Tilburg, specific for the location, some things have changed over corona I guess. Breakfast isn't as nice anymore as it used to be (missed fresh cooking) Car park isn't connected to hotel anymore so need to pay separately and so it is not on the invoice. Overall hotel is still nice but big value, there are some other hotels where it cost less. If you are not accor member it is surely expensive enough. and so for some of the colleagues, customers it falls outside of the budget of 200$ per night all in. (stay breakfast carpark)

Perfectly fine stay and nice and easy booking. Clean and fully equipped rooms. Unfortunately there was a mix up with the room number in the check out. We were called our client didn't check out in time. But she did, the rooms where mixed up by cleaning ( front office said). Still, it kept us worrying and anxious for half an hour something might have happened to Tanja. Thank god it turned out to be fine. :-)

Service is getting worse. The room was a bit dirty, one of the towel is broken.
