We loved everything about our stay at the Grand Hotel Cabourg. We've been already staying at the hotel last year and were pleased to come back to renew our experience. Rooms are clean and the view is lovely. You can have a room with a view to the sea or garden. You'll take your breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel. While having your delicious breakfast you can enjoy the view to the sea as the restaurant has large beautiful windows. One of the things we loved the most is of course the Private Beach of the hotel. You can also have some food and drinks served by the beach if you wish. All the staff of the hotel is very friendly and will try to make your stay unforgettable. This is definitely a place were we would come back at least once a year. Thank you ❤️

Nice hotel and friendly staff. It was a special occasion for us and as a gold member I thought we would be given an upgrade or some other recognition having waited from March until July because of Covid. The room was nice but nothing amazing - aircon didn't work; very basic toiletries; comfortable bed and excellent food in the restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is expensive but food and service good. We were celebrating a special occasion but apart from a handwritten note nothing else. No upgrade even though I'm a gold member. Room was okay cheap toiletries and no soap bars.

Well, but the breakfat was disappointing, we know that you can't make a buffet because of the COVID, but the breakfast is far too expensive for what is currently offered. Two pieces of bread that are served to you in the restaurant, with two mini pastries with a tiny bit of scrambled eggs, this is too light a proposition considering the standard of the hotel.

First of all, the whole crew is just perfect, at the restaurant, at the lobby's desk. The restaurant is excellent, and really deserves at least one star. The rooms are clean, the bed very comfortable. At the prices are very reasonable compared to the overall quality. Go there!!!

Our overall experience was really good. Mostly because of the staff and the five stars standard. Nevertheless, the corridor and the room should have a refreshment.

The room was lovely and big. The bathroom had all the necessary amenities and it is always agreeable to have the WC separated from the bathing area.

Poor state of repair and quality

The quality of the room was poor with paper thin walls and soft mattress and linen in need of replacement. Public areas and breakfast room not in keeping with a quality hotel. Service was slow at the cocktail bar and prices exhorbitant

New Year Stay

Had a large room on the top floor, lovely view, comfortable bed, large bathroom but was cold and the heated towel rail was not working, so we were giving a electric warm air heater. Had the New Year dinner, told to be in reception for 20. 00, lots of people standing around for 30mins before we got a glass of champagne, then free flowing just could have been a bit more organised. Room for meal was lovely and spacious, band was brilliant, but the food was not that good, did not feel i had enough and the dessert was served at 12.30 approx. Wine was good and not a problem filling up our glasses. We stayed at the hotel for three nights and our room was quiet, until the last evening when we heard a baby crying very loudly as there was an ajoining door to next door. We were getting ready to go out for the evening and knew we would not get a lot of sleep. Went to reception and the girl behind the desk understood our problem and got us another room for the last night, a nuisance, having to pack and move everything for one night, while we were ready to go out for dinner. Have stayed in lots of McGallery hotels this was not a good 5 star. Sound proofing not good.

No Sound Proofing

Lovely looking hotel but fell down on rooms that were not sound proofed. Large room with sea view, comfortable bed, tiny hand towels, could not wrap up my hair after washing and i have a small head! Breakfast is great and a lovely view. Our last evening though we had to move as a baby had arrived next door, and none stop crying, not the babys fault though.. Why put a young couple in a room with an a joining door next to a older couple ?

Our stay was as always great! The sea view and the place are unique. The breakfast buffet is good and traditional but can be further enhanced, especially the bread. The services, room and restaurant, christmas activities for kids, were excellent.
