Great experience, nothing I would change inside the hotel. Just quite dangerous having to walk across main roads to get to and from the bus stops.

« The carpet was not clean and the place was inaccessible without a cab »

The room was spacious enough but the carpet was not clean. The place was difficult to access without a cab. I stayed there for 6 nights and I was carving for my home food. The restaurant menu did not have any so I needed to go out and get some. However I could not eat it since the staff where not kind enough to warm it up in their oven

« Comfortable but missed the mark in some areas. »

Our stay at Mercure was a enjoyable but the attention to detail lacked at times. The rooms are comfortable and spacious but house keeping needs to pay attention to the finer details. The linen on our bed was not the correct size, empty containers were not thrown away unless they were in the bin, tea and coffee was not replenished daily and once house keeping walked in without knocking. The breakfast was lovely, there was good variety and it was plentiful, however, what was on offer never changed. We stayed at the hotel for 9 nights and breakfast was exactly the same everyday. I feel that the hotel is a bit priced and unless we stay there on a special we won’t book again. With all that said we did enjoy our stay and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The staff were excellent very kind and helpful with all my requests especially Denise. The room was great, nice view and comfortable bed. The was not clean very well especially the floors.

« Far out and poor service »

The hotel was very far out of the centre (which we knew when booking) and was a pain to get to and from with the buses as the bus drops you off far from the tourist attractions. When at the hotel the staff forgot to leave us towels and after a shower was left waiting 50 minutes for them to bring them up.

The hotel was very average with poor service. Left with no towels and when we called up for them we were left waiting almost an hour for someone to bring them u . Super far out of the city and was a bit of faff with the buses as it dropped you far away from most of the touristy places in the centre

« Correct service, not beyond »

The room is fine, excellent sleeping experience. Reception provided not only excellent but very friendly service as well. Not all serving staff at restaurant were at the same hospitality level as the receptionists, I did not feel very welcome.

« Extremely short staffed. »

First of all the hotel is extremely short staffed. When called on front desk to inform that the toiletries were not given in the room, they said there is no one so we have to go down and get the toiletries from the front desk. and this happened all the days when we stayed there. Second of all I am a Member at Accor Group. The prices were high even after the discounts but got a better price from Booking. com. which is your travel agent partner. and when asked to include the points, they refused saying you should have booked from the Accor directly, where as the membership deed clearly mentions even if I have booked from agent the points and the nights I stay will be counted . And Lastly, the Pictures shown in the Advertisements and the quality of services mentioned on booking.com or even Accor website for the hotels are deceiving. I have stayed in Mercure in other countries as well, and by far this was the worst hotel I have stayed in. P.S :- Even the Housekeeping staff keeps Knocking the door in the morning despite putting the Do Not Disturb Sign. When asked Cant you see Do not Disturb sign, the lady said if you want me to clean the room then this is the time. And she Finishes her shift now and no one can clean after this until the next day. Even the local Bed and Breakfast services are better than your services.

Room well furnished, comfortable matress, good heating, nice bathroom. Conference room well equipped, restaurant nicely decorated, public toilets very clean. Breakfast was very good, freshly squeezed orange juice and excellent coffee! Shuttle bus to/from airport is a plus!

Extremely disappointed With my room and then checking out I was overcharged! - the telephone in the room did not work (it was exchanged but the second one went faulty too) - the bathroom was not cleaned probably on two occasions - the window opening/closing mechanism was broken and at one point injured me - the TV was faulty and one night it went to max volume and I could not turn the volume down or switch it off, I had to walk to the reception in the middle of the night in my night clothes and bear feet to ask for assistance (because I could not call anyone as the telephone was not working!!!!) Finally I was overcharged (I found that out when I checked my credit card statement back home) Fiona who was on the front desk (btw the cost was €410.80) took two sets of cash from me 1st was €170 (3x€50+€20) and 2nd was €120 (9x€10+6x€5) the rest she took from my credit, however instead of taking €120.10, she took €170.10 therefore overcharging me by €50 I would like refunded to my credit card

Room was not properly cleaned. Toilet dirty, dirty paper and hairs on bed. Reception told a cleaner will come but he never came.
