Genial
Very well located Hotel, and easy to Find from Metro Beguet Sabin

This is a very nice hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Inside the main entrance is a very large and quite luxurious area of informal seating and a nice large bar area. Upstairs the rooms are off spacious beautifully carpeted hallways, and everything spotless and smartly presented. I had only a simple small room (which was all I wanted) but the essential items were excellent ie mice large very comfortable bed and excellent shower. The hotel is also very close to the Metro station Breguet Sabin (6 stops from Garre du Nord), and the the whole of the 11th arrondissement is buzzing with life an industry and with more cafes and bars than you could possibly count (on every street).
Well located, nice atmosphere

I really appreciated the service, every person at the reception was really kind and I loved the hotel’s new look
Very poor service in all aspects.

No cleaning, dirty, no maintaining the rooms, restaurant and everything. No any customer orientation. I've been in this hotel many times, but before 10 years. I was totally satisfied. Now it is a complete disaster in all aspects. Now the hotel is blackmailing its customers. It is the reality and I'll inform all customers and FR authorities.
COVID implies No roomservice, standard breakfast box, no cleaning. In addition improper beds

We stayed at the Ibis hotel for 7 years in a row in August when Parisians take their holiday. We love the Marais neighborhood with plenty of terraces and restaurants. As usual we reserved a wheelchair adapted room which is now renovated in a somber minimalistic style. However, in our view no proper attention was paid to make the room suitable again for wheelchair users (see below). The renovation is still in progress which meant that the window was covered and there was no view. The air conditioner worked but was noisy at full power. We pre-ordered breakfast for our weeks stay which was charged for the full price per person. Due to COVID there is no breakfast buffet. Instead, you get a paper sack with a fixed and limited content and max. 2 hot drinks (no eggs, fresh fruit, ham, Madeleine, nuts, apple compote which we enjoy). Guests are asked to eat their breakfast outside or in the hotel room. We stayed in the lobby the first few days but were summoned to go outside or to the room. The terrace was closed due to renovation. The cosy looking breakfast/dining space was closed to to COVID. There was no room cleaning due to COVID. Hygenic sacks could be put outside the room to be collected but no-one came to collect them after 2 days so we brought them down. Personal was friendly but sometimes strict: if we came a minute before 10 after a battle with the hotel beds to collect the breakfast the serving lady refused to initially serve the hot drinks (we couldn't help but notice that a lot of breakfast sacks were not collected at all by the hotel guests). The following remarks are applicable for guests that are to totally dependent on wheelchair and hygienic cleaning. First some positive remarks: in the bathroom a shower curtain has been put in place that prevents the bathroom floor from being flooded. However, there was no proper toilet paper container or shelve available anymore which necessitated us to put it on the only available chair which rendered it useless for other purposes e.g shower chair. The shower head holder may serve as a safety rail (there is no separate wall mounted safety rail or bathing chair). There was one wall mounted flip-up safety rail near the toilet, but we did not trust it to bear a humans weight (it was shaky probably because the wall to which it is attached cannot bear the weight). The bed was a nightmare for my wife with a (too) soft mattress and a separate topping that shifted in all directions. We had to ask an additional mattress to gain the necessary height for my wife to slide on the bed from the wheelchair, but then we had to struggle to get the topping in its proper place. The minimalistic shelves in the bedroom were ill-placed for a wheelchair user and clothes cannot be hanged properly. We would gladly provide some tips to make it more suitable. COVID cannot be blamed for this. The manager Osvaldo Capote Herrera can contact us if needed because we appreciate the hotel location and personal. Please consider this review not as a way to get money refunded but as a true concern that handicapped guests were not consulted when re-furnishing rooms for handicapped people which is a great service. We enjoyed the hotel in the past and hope to do that in the future as well when COVID is no longer a threat.
