Centrally located in Gent (a beautiful, old city). Tram stops just outside. City centre a short walk away. The soundproofing of the rooms aren't too good, so make sure to ask for a room far down the corridor away from stairs and lifts.

We had a nice stay in the property, enjoying the good service. Two issues though: 1) Light switch at the door is broken (that’s ok, but we could be informed about the problem at check-in). 2) The shower gel should be replaced. Many other IBIS properties have a new product that is much better than the old one. If I were you I would complain to Accor and this contribute to a poorer customer experience.

Good location with tram stop immediately outside, convenient for various P+R parking locations. Couple of minutes walk to very centre of Ghent so all attractions and nightlife within easy reach. Room compact but comfortable and quiet.

Location is great, in a nice area close to the center. Small but functional room. The staff was very helpful. The only down side is that heating is quite noisy and beds were not very comfortable, but the rest was great.

Nice hotel but your not told till its to late to cancel that you can't bring your car into the city centre

It was very disappointing thaT THE BAR WAS CLOSED AT 21.00

Regretfully, we had a staffing shortage. However, drinks may be ordered at our front desk at all times, and in addition to this, we have a vending machine and fridge with drinks available. I slept very badly every night because there is absolutely no soundproofing between the rooms and the corridor. You could hear every conversation and door, and even the doors from the elevator woke me up. Plus, there were some people shouting in the corridor at 4 pm on the first two nights…

I have to admit that the beauty of my visit is mainly because of the place I stayed at. If you are visiting Ghent and you should, Stay at Ibis Gent Centrum Opera (there are other Ibis properties in the area) There is a tram station right in front of you, you are walking distance to the shopping alley that leads to the main attraction, and when you get tired of walking, you can hop on the tram which will stop right in front of the hotel I am so happy I chose this location coz I considered a few others in the area. Oh and you are near restaurants which are open in the evening, coz most of them close at 6pm The room is spacious, cleaaaan, the team is professional. Thank you!

I have to tell you that this is the best place to stay when in Ghent, you have a tram station in front of you, you can walk to the shopping alley leading to the main plaza, there are different restaurant options nearby, the room isproperly spaced, modern, clean, and the staffs are all so wonderful! I made few choices before coming here and do yourself a favor, stay here and have an enjoyable time at Ghent

working staff were very pleasant and willing to provide with any information necessary. the room was also very nice, clean, with comfortable beds. the room was also warm and comfy. the location of the hotel is perfect - with tram station in front of the hotel, and 10min walk to the city center. i would only like that they changed towels during the stay - although i was staying for four nights i haven't received new towels.

IBIS Hotel are always good as expectations. They provide a very good breakfast. For this hotel the Location is very good, just 5 minutes closed to the center. However the rooms are not soundproofed, you could hear the TV from the rooms, unfortunately I had a bad experience during my stay in hotel having very noise rooms neighbors.

average accommodation ,had to pay 15£ extra for parking from 10pm-8am and that was disappointing...rooms are small and outdated ..on the other hand ,staff where excellent ,friendly and professional. city is beautiful and location is great.

A very good, comfortable hotel. Great staff who would do anything for you. Very well stocked bar, some great beers, I'm a country of great beers. Only one complaint - only one bedside table in the room.
