We are currently on a 1700km bicycle tour from Utrecht to Munich. Every night we are staying in hotels and often the are IBIS Hotels. I wish to bring to your attention the excellent service we have had at the IBIS Leuven. We were fortunate to encounter Githa at the front desk. This knowledgeable, professional and friendly lady was able to assist us in all our travel needs. First she arranged for secure overnight bicycle storage for us, it’s a long walk back to Canada if our bikes go missing. Secure overnight storage is very important to the success of our adventure. Second she assisted us in taking the bikes to the secure bike lockup. Third we needed laundry service and she assisted us in locating and providing map directions to the laundry facility. We were easily able to find it with her assistance. Fourth we needed a bike shop to fix a mechanical problem with one of the bikes, again she helped us by locating and directing us to a local shop that helped us solve the mechanical problem. She did all this while maintaining a friendly, professional and courteous manner. Vary rarely do I encounter hotel employees who take such great care of their guests. When I do, I always like to say a huge thank you for a job well done. I have travelled by bicycle in Europe for seven years, staying at IBIS and other hotels. I have to say Githa’s commitment to customer service is the best I’ve encountered.

Very bad service

The room was super noisy with people closing doors fiercly at 2am and 3am in the morning. I could not sleep and the next day I had a cycling event early morning. When I raised the issue to front desk the lady said she will ask her boss for refund or partial refund at least and that she will get back to me, yet no body contacted me again. I sent them a reminder for compensation but instead of replying to me they sent me an evaluation of service email. Hence, this evaluation! I cant recommend this hotel to anyone!
