The Ibis Hotel itself is pretty standard and similar the world over, it’s the other factors that make it different! At this ibis, it’s the lovely staff that make this ibis stand above others! The staff here were Warm, genuine and just nice, and above all else had banter!!!! Excellent central location as well. Close to all of Birmingham city centres sights and shopping! Great overall stay!

Went to the cricket at edgbaston and needed a hotel close to new street station so we could all easily meet up, and the location of the Ibis was spot on. The hotel has a large reception area with a central bar and lots of table seating behind. The bar is open 24/7 which for some, us!, was very handy. Rooms were small but clean. Staff were incredibly helpful. One slight niggle - the online Accor club members price was the same as all the other Expedia etc sites and it took a phone call to Accor to get any discount: surely this is wrong!!!

Last minute decision to stay here and it was lovely. Quite basic but again good value for money. Situated in Arcadian so you have bars and clubs on your doorstep, there’s a Tesco around the corner to grab anything you need and it’s a 5 minute walk to the station. I’d definitely stay here again

Upon entering we were greeter in a curt manner by the receptionist and told to take a seat whilst she was on the phone. It was not a great first impression but we kept an open mind as we are aware of the unprecedented times we are in still. After the phone call ended she did seem more helpful, and offered us a room on the 4th floor. She did however speak really quickly and we had to take all the information in fast. The reception area had hand sanitisation available, and it was very clean and clearly marked. The lifts had hand sanitisation available also, which was very handy and reassuring. The room was average, not very modern but clean and we were offered a fan due to how warm it was during our stay, this was gratefully received and very welcoming. Although small, it offered exactly what you need, an extra pillow per person, a good size shower, hair dryer, kettle and amenities, tv etc. For the price we were not disappointed really. The bed was ok and we slept averagely but it did feel like it needed upgrading honestly. The rest of the staff were nice and we enjoyed a few drinks at the bar on the evening time. The location is absolutely fantastic, and worth every penny we spent on the hotel (including the room). We have decided to book in to the same hotel in 6 weeks time as the location sold it for us, despite some issues with the bed it really is worth it if you love the area. If I could offer some constructive feedback I would just ask that the staff take their time a bit more with the customers so they can feel a bit more comfortable especially if its their first time. Also upgrade the beds when able because we were left a bit stiff but we understand due to current climate that this may be difficult to achieve at the moment. Another point is that we arrange for late check out (before 5pm) and we still had somebody knock on the door at 12 to ask if and when we were checking out. This isn't professional and would not expect this to happen for our next stay.

Stayed for 1 night and only visited Las Iguanas restaurant for 1 hour and spent the rest of the stay in the hotel / bar. Unfortunately upon my return home I was contacted by the NHS COVID-19 track and trace and informed that I had been in contact with someone that has COVID-19 and that I need to self isolate for 10 days. I visited no other locations including shops etc. so this has caused great concern, upset and inconvienience.

I stayed one night for work purposes, haven’t stayed before but wanted somewhere local to the station and the office. The room and bed were both comfortable, the tea facilities weren’t great (paper cup etc) but to be fair the were extra pillows, the bathroom and bedding were clean and neat, overall good value for money.

Lovely welcome, easy check-in, functional and perfectly clean room with soundproofing and very comfortable bed and pillows. Hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Birmingham. Delighted with a complimentary drink from the bar, as a member of the Accor loyalty programme. Fantastic value for money, so I will definitely be staying again.

I was very happy with location and the hotel generally and the price was very low likely due to Covid severely impacting demand. One thing I was unhappy with was the way a request from a lady in front of me in the queue asking for milk the next day for her baby. The lady was offered that if should bought breakfast for her baby at 5.95 GBP. That was ridiculous to charge 6 pounds for some milk, We asked for milk when our daughter was a baby and was never treated like that, I showed the lady where a local Supermarket was as an altermative.

Absolutely the best hotel to stay everything you need and more staff are brilliant and nothing to much trouble 24 hrs a day cant fault this hotel at all covid restrictions are excellent which gave me great peace of mind would certainly go back again and book this company any were thankyou for everything my 4 day stay was fabulous THANKYOU.

The hotel is very centrally located, we used the underground car park which at £15 overnight we thought a very good price. There is not a Check in desk, but plenty of very helpful staff to sort you out with their smart phones, very modern! Our room was also modern and well equipped, it was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. We had a very good breakfast, well stocked, with a good choice of hot and cold food. All the staff we met were great but a special shout out to Ingrid the morning breakfast lady, so chatty, helpful and made everyone feel so welcome. All in all a great stay at a great price.

Overpriced for a small, very basic room. Room was adequate for an overnight stay but I would not want to stay for longer. It is also next to a nightclub, so expect some noise into the early hours. It has no reception, so check in is via some wandering assistants, which is very strange, and they use Whatapp as a method of contact if you have a problem. This did not feel very reassuring. The only plus was the size of the towels - very few hotels have bath sheets, and the smaller towel was also larger than a regular hotel hand towel.
