I was very happy with my stay in this Mercure hotel. My mother and I stayed in a double bed room with a twin bed. We liked the French style of having the toilet separate from the shower and sink. We stayed 3 separate times in two weeks and the staff was kind enough to let us use the luggage room each time. The breakfast crew was always checking things out to make sure everyone had what they needed. The variety was satisfying. I loved how the lobby was decorated for Halloween- it's nice to be in a space that likes to celebrate and make their guests feel more at home. The hotel was much bigger than what it seems. There are many sitting areas around and the bar area is very inviting. A very special employee was Annaelle! She helped me set-up the reservation and basically did everything for my mother and I. She spoke very good english and always paid close attention to you at the front desk. By the last stay she had everything in the room prepared with previous requests- including the extra pillows, water and a quiet room! She also helped me sign up for the loyalty progam. The rooms only had one pillow for each "space" and we are used to sleeping with more than one pillow. Especially if they aren't "fluffy". Anaelle made sure we were comfy. Another employee named Ophelia also made our request come true one late night by getting a pillow from another room (don't worry she replaced the room's pillow the next morning). Unfortunately the air conditioning had already been turned off... the nights are not quiet so having the window open the first night was not good. The front desk was able to move us to a quieter room, but having the dust and pollen come in was not good for allergies. There was also no way to call the front desk from the room, the phone was disconnected/not working. So we had to walk downstairs when we needed something. Another weird thing was that the shower seemed to be missing the big shower head. The holder was there but not the head... There was only a handheld one which wasn't comfortable if you had to wash your hair/ if you're tall.

The first impression was not so good with the corridors looking old and not fresh. Room was ok but nothing special. Restaurant was nice with attentive service

On arrival at the hotel, reception provides you with a simple map of the area, which has numbers against various sites of interest – but no legend, so you have no idea what the sites are. You have to go to the tourist office for a decent map. Fortunately it’s only 10 minutes’ walk away. By the bathroom sink (room 303), the soap dispenser fixed to the wall would not provide any soap although it was full and we tried all the usual options we could. In the end we used the dispenser in the shower. We left a message for the cleaner, and it was sorted by the evening when we returned. Breakfast was frustrating because things were not where you expected to find them, (eg: the butter is not on the same table as the breads and pastries; the cranberries and raisins which are supposed to go with cereals are not next to the cereals), and a coffee machine was confusing to operate and ran very slowly, frustrating a number of people. The cups are all too small, so you end up going twice in search of hot drink refills. Supper in the restaurant on 30/10 was frustrating because the service was so slow that we left after the main course, not wishing to wait for dessert. On our second night we discovered after one of us had showered that we had been left with only one large towel instead of the two we had had the previous night. The toilet paper in the hotel is thin single-ply and pretty useless. Many of the parking bays in the underground garage near the connecting hotel lobby are chained off, meaning one has to park further away, which is not ideal when dragging suitcases, shoulder bags, etc… It seems pretty clear that whoever is responsible for this hotel is not doing the rounds with the eyes of a customer, otherwise many of these issues would have been noticed and resolved. The plus points for the hotel are that it is quite central, and provides for relatively secure parking. The bed is comfortable, and you can open the windows when the room feels too stuffy.

We were held up by an 8 hr delay at ChannelTunnel from Uk and were unable to reach our booked hotel in Orleans. The staff at Arras tried to cancel our booking and called me back when we were cut off - Excellent stay -all staff were very helpful and courteous and parking was in underground car park just across road with door access to hotel. Lift access to rooms and our meal was lovely. Thank you

We stayed five nights for bed and breakfast. We had a comfortable, quiet room and several enjoyable interludes in the bar fro drinks. Arrival was very easy because I'd checked in online. It would be a good idea if the hotel could issue a paper bracelet to wear on one's wrist after first producing one's "passe sanitaire" at reception to avoid having to produce these passes every morning at breakfast or in the bar.

Secure car park. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very polite. Well stocked bar and decent breakfast. Room very comfortable. The only issue was that the tables hadn’t been cleared in the bar when we arrived.

Booked this hotel as it’s in a good location for a late Eurotunnel crossing. Staff were friendly and efficient on checking in and out. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately for us there was a large conference happening so only 1 room was available for booking (room 109). Room was a little bit tired and perhaps given to ppl travelling with animals usually. Would stay at this hotel again but not in the same room!

we stay in your hotels regularly when travelling through France and always enjoy our stays as the staff are always courteous friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. our only complaint on this stay was that we didn't sleep at all well due to the noisy air conditioning which despite trying several times it would not turn off.

The hotel met our needs for a comfortable stay at a hotel before return to UK next morning. Due to UK government's complicated form filling requirements we spent much of the time dealing with those, so did not get chance to venture out of the hotel.

We stayed for three nights. The main purpose of the visit to Arras France was it to tour the WWI battlefields and the grave of a great uncle who was killed close to the end of the war. Our luggage went missing and in tracking it down the staff was extraordinarily helpful. They bent over backwards to assist in tracking down our luggage for more than three days. The breakfast was the usual very good European continental breakfast. The room was larger than the average European hotel room we have experienced, was clean, and the beds were quite acceptable.

Overall good, but breakfast was poor.

Indeed you have the breakfast in the restaurant and there is enough place for the people who want to have the breakfast. It's not possible to open the windows because we have only windows bay in the restaurant. Everybody is supposed to wear the mask to take the food in the buffet. Check-in was swift however no upgrade was offered to Gold and Accor Business. I was offered only one welcome drink voucher even thought I booked a double room with my wife. That feels awkward and mean. I asked if there was a possibility of another voucher and was told that the management has specifically told them only to give one voucher. Sad to say, these little rules leave a negative vibe on loyal guests (especially when an Ibis/Novatel etc. will give drinks for both occupants of room!) Room was small but comfortable. Love the essential oil shower pods - a nice touch. Room seemed very spartan but this could be due to COVID policies. Bed was comfy. Did not have breakfast.

We always thought that Mercure hotels were Air conditioned. Certainly the ones in Rouen & Reims are. We were very disappointed that the Air conditionong was switched off in Arras. No advanced notification was given to us and we therefore will revue whether we stay at your hotels again. We just do not appreciate being conned. You should have told us when booking and reduced the price accordingly if the booking was proceeded.
