Chic and smart, yet relaxed and comfortable, 505 is a lounge bar providing a selection of teas and coffees during the day and champagne, wine and Sofitel cocktails in the evening, with a contemporary soundtrack to complete the scene.
The room was comfortable, although TV i could not use properly 2318.
The breakfast was a disappointing compared to "the normal" times. It did not cost too much though.

Well located is the only thing I can appreciate with this hotel. I have heard a lot good things about it but it is not true if I will stay for a second time nor recommend it to anyone I know.
Firstly the hotel room itself it is rather old. The bed is concave because it is old and I couldnt sleep well.
The breadfast- serciouly I have paid so much for this but at the end I could only eat egg and fruit every day because I have no choice at all. The coffee service also didn't come everyday-I guess they don't really care about a Chinese look guest because as far as I see when a European look person comes in, they follow. And for two weeks long I only have 2 cups of coffee because I find no one to ask.
The best service/ attitude is the receptionist, they always nice, friendly and helpful, room service is also very good.
But others is really unsatisfied.
The concierge- I understand that in this critical situation, they have to check everyone who enters the hotel especially the new ones who never register but I ask myself that, every time I get into the hotel they look like they have never seem me before and ask what am I doing there?! There are most of the time, minimum 2 person but also even 5 person standing there but what they are doing if they don't even recognize a guest who is stay for such a long time? Right they talked and played with the cell phone.
And whenever I came in, they just looked and asked what am I doing in the hotel.

The hotel is easy to get to either by metro or car. I went to the hotel by metro so I only saw the back gate with a few stairs up. Nobody in the hotel told me there was actually a front gate located on the other side. The standard room is a little bit crowded but adequate. It's enough for a business trip. The one thing that really needs to be improved is the soundproof function of the window glass.

My week at the Sofitel has been very pleasant. My arrival was welcomed and was well processed by the front office staff who made sure to put me in a very comfortable room. Housekeeping Staff did the room servicing daily and at the acceptable standards.
Breakfast was well balanced and most enjoyable, the staff were pleasant and did their job with professionalism, as soon as I entered the restaurant who ever was there at the time, made sure that I got my beloved coffee first thing. SALIM was always at hand and always made sure I was comfortable at the restaurant and in general. My special thanks go to the restaurant staff and Salim.on my second day at the hotel I fell and hurt my back a little , when they found out they all showed concern and kept comforting me. Om my last day Salim went out of his way to escort me to the hotel ground level and helped me with the suitcase due to the back pain. Thanks go to the GM and the executive chef whom I had a little chat With and whom I find doing a great job to make sure the guest walks in happy and leave happy!

Arrived at the hotel with ease. The front office men located me to a comfortable room ( thank you ! )
My first breakfast was a little confusing ( from my previous experience with the Sofitel ) due to misbehavior of " some " house guests. From the 2nd day breakfast things got better. apart from one not so pleasing incident when one gusts just entered the restaurant to have breakfast. He first blows his nose very hard on a napkin taking from the table and did the unimaginable leaving the infected napkin with his mucus on the table and went to seat in another table. since I was seating next table, I asked the staff to move me immediately to another table. The staff reacted promptly and clean the whole table with disinfectant. Otherwise, the restaurant staff were very nice and always made sure that I got me beloved cappuccino as soon as set down ( Thank you all ) and since I fell and hurt my back a little, the staff always made sure asking how my back was every day ( Thank you ) . As for housekeeping all was fine too. Food. Food. Food. breakfast was most enjoyable and could not ask for more. To mention the wonderful food I had one night ( Buffett dinner ) it was most enjoyable and love all the meat casseroles. Special thanks to the MG . executive Chef whom I happened to have a little chats. And thanks go to Salim too for making sure that all was comfortable for me ( always near to assist ) to mention helping me with the suitcase ( due to my back pain ) to take it down to the street on my way to the subway.
