A bit disappointed

We stayed for 4 nights for my birthday. We are Accor members. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was great, however the room was very tired. The room we originally booked had been upgraded. The girl at check-in provided incorrect information in relation to the dining options and Accor discount. The room and surrounds were quite dirty, the table on the verandah was filthy and there were used shampoo containers and teabags in the garden. The food was really good with lots of options and the quality good. The shower door did not close properly which caused a large amount of water to leak onto the bathroom floor. There was a hole in the guttering in the roof above our balcony and there was no drain pipe which caused the rain to spray onto our balcony and cause a very loud noise when it hit the ground. The staff on a couple of occasions complained that they were understaffed although we found the service quite good. We did not receive the gifts (eg wine, cheese/chocolates) which we normally receive as Platinum members at other Accor properties.

My husband & I stayed for 7 nights in a refurbished room, over looking the garden and the lagoon. Our room was light and airy, spacious with a king sized bed. The bathroom a good size. The food was very good, breakfast and dinners, were eaten in Sola Restaurant. The buffet on Friday night was Asian and very nice and the Saturday night buffet was seafood and this was excellent. Very fresh and plenty of high quality seafood. The staff were helpful and friendly. They made our stay very enjoyable.

Good hotel for families, the rooms are a bit dated and really in need of a refresh and food at the sola bar was a tad overpriced for what it was (garlic bread was exactly the same as $2 loaves from woolies). The pool is in need of a refresh - several cracked tiles which pose a injury risk, and the tiling is quite slippery. The grounds are lovely and the water activities were good when they were running.

My husband & I booked for a week. We are long term Accor Members. Our room no 323 was refurbished, light and airy and spacious. The food was very good, especially the Seafood Buffet on Saturday, the seafood was so fresh and Asian Buffet on Friday night. All our meals were of high quality. The staff especially Raphael, Kim and Tribour and Alex, were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was any trouble. The only thing to say was not so good is the wine selection. The Bancroft brand is not very nice. We did try a Josef Chromy Pepik, a Pinot Noir, this was a very nice wine.

Staff were bright and cheerful. Reception was a little understaffed. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Housekeeping was unobtrusive and well done. Food was casual but quite acceptable with a small but sufficient diversity. Presentation was good.

I was not happy with the room at all, almost $800 for 2 nights and the rooms were very disappointing. the carpet is that old and lifting up in corner, carpet very dirty, rooms were old run down, definitely not a luxury hotel as advertised.

I very much enjoyed my trip, the activities were great the weather was fantastic. One of the days I decided to go get myself a cocktail from the Sola bar but as we were down at the pool I did ask for a plastic cup which was fine cause I saw everyone else at the pool with lovely fancy drinks I was so excited to get one myself…..I got a ‘dress rehersal’ cocktail by this one gentlemen who didn’t really look like he knew what he was doing and took over 5 minutes to make it then comes over with this plain small glass that wasn’t even half way filled with liquid then just filled with ice and nothing on the top and anything definitely not professional. As I did pay 18 dollars for a cocktail I was very much disappointed and didn’t go back to the bar for the rest of my trip. After receiving my cocktail I did say to bar tender ‘is that it’ and he said ‘ohhh um yeh’ then tired to blame it on the glass. Room service was lovely, the man at the buffet breakfast each morning was so lovely to us and everyone before they when into breakfast. I did have to call receptions to ask what time the pool is opened too as it wasn’t displayed?? But otherwise I did very much enjoy my trip at Novotel Twin waters and I will definitely be back !!

Booked a recently refurbished executive room with lagoon view. Spacious and well appointed with vinyl floors, however the floor hadn’t been cleaned very well. Nice balcony to relax with a drink.

I can not fault the staff. We were put in an upstairs room but sadly can not do steps so even though completely booked switched us to a room that suited us and was close to everything. Rooms are clean and well presented. Thank you for a great stay I will be back.

Enjoyable. We arrived on a busy (Grand final) long weekend. Check in was excellent. Room was good. Buffet breakfast on Monday (oct holiday) was busy and some food items ran out and were not replaced (sausages, delicious Smoked salmon ... my husband missed both of these) , however breakfast service was Good and we enjoyed available selections. Unfortunately, our room remained UNSERVICED on Monday 3/10. Our room was serviced on Tue 4/10 however the Ground floor patio door was left open (30 cm). Fortunately, no problems associated with this . The breakfast on Tue & Wed was al la carte and the restaurant was very quiet with few diners. However the service was slow ( and forgivable... as we weren’t in a hurry & it appeared staff were training) . On Wed morning, a more experienced Server took over from our original and provided excellent service. Service was always friendly.

This was meant to be a birthday getaway for my wife and it was time for us to unwind from the hectic life that we have been living for the past four months with a premature baby who is still in hospital.This getaway was meant to take our minds of the stressful life that we have been living for past four months in and out of the hospital every single day.This getaway was more for my wife then me as she had to have emergency c-section surgery to have the baby.So I had called in the morning on 8th October around 9am to organise some wine and cheese platter to surprise my wife and to extend our stay one day longer.When we got to our room the cheese platter was in the fridge but there wasn’t any wine.This was very disappointing and embarrassing as I had told my wife that there was a surprise waiting for her in the room.I called reception and was told that it will be delivered shortly I waited almost an hour and it wasn’t delivered.So I had to walk from room 290 to go all the way to reception to ask them for the wine which made me feel like I’m really desperate and I was embarrassed to ask over and over again even though I had paid for both the wine and the cheese platter.Then after 30 minutes or so they delivered it to our room. Then we had booked in for the buffet dinner which was Asian menu on the same night which was the 8th of November and was asked if it was special occasion and I did mention that this is a birthday getaway for my wife and they made a note of it and said that they will make sure that there was something special when we come.Me and my wife were very happy and excited and so we got dressed up and came to buffet dinner and we had our dinner and waited and then had our dessert and waited and we thought okay maybe now they might bring out the surprise so we sat there for another half an hour waiting and nothing was done.I didn’t want to go and ask the staff about the surprise and sound desperate so we just left and went to our room.I felt really embarrassed as I had two surprises ruined for my wife on the very first day our stay.I was very upset because I wanted to make her feel special and in return I let her down.I was very disappointed and embarrassed and to think that I have 2 more nights to stay here just spoiled the whole holiday mood for me.Keeping in mind that this was just the very first day of our stay and I’m really disappointed that I had paid all these money only to be treated like that.

An overall pleasant experience with staff helpful at all times. The buffet breakfast was disappointing and therefore overpriced. The food was mostly cold and the poached eggs hard. It was surprising to see tinned spaghetti at a breakfast for this price. We were seated before 8 am and would have expected something better all round. Having said this, our dinner experience was more than acceptable.
