This was our third year on the bounce staying at Twin Waters, we’re booking again for 2022 as I write this. The hotel caters fantastically for our needs, we have a toddler and a teenager, and the facilities on offer keeps everyone entertained. The family suites are a great option for us as they allow proximity to each other and also privacy from each other. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The location is great as almost all of the Sunshine Coast’s attractions are within 30mins drive from the hotel. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. On a personal note, there was only one little fly in the ointment, which for me was, as a coeliac, there were no gluten free beers available from the bar (other than a ginger beer, which was delicious but a tad sickly after a while), and with the range of gf beers now mainstream, maybe one could be added to the range? A minor point I agree, but not being able to have a “coldie” after a hot day around the pool, well, that’s just a tad a unAustralian :)

Looks great online, however once checked in room is very basic and missing items you’d except in a room, no where to hang swimmers etc, very limited room to store things to keep room tidy, restaurant was a rip off, we ended up going to the pub up the road for dinner most nights, it was great. The kids inflatable water park that’s showed online wasn’t even there. That was very disappointing for them. You go to use the pool and security want to know why you aren’t wearing wrist bands, we’ll at check in we were never given wrist bands, wasn’t even told about them. Communication was very poor. It was an ok experience but when your paying top dollar to stay here you don’t want ok. Wouldn’t return, much better options out there.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Novotel, the staff were friendly, we used the kayaks and stand up paddle boards. We ordered takeaway food to bring back to our room and found that good. The buffet breakfast was also very nice. Overall everything was great and enjoyed our 2 night stay

It was difficult from check in. I had added another day to the front of my existing booking for 1 room and your staff had a problem understanding this. The first morning I had housekeeping come into our room as they were told we had checked out. I then received a phone call later that morning to ask when I would be leaving on that day even though our stay was still for another 3 nights. When the party for the second room on our booking arrived it was difficult for your check-in staff once again had problems understanding we had another room booked for 3 nights. The fridge in the second room was not cold and leaked water on the floor. Other than the lobby the rest of the resort is very tired and in need of repair. On the final day I had a phone call from your establishment to say we would have to move out of our second room to another due to a plumbing issue. There is fault with the lighting design of the rooms. The bathroom light is the same as the wardrobe/dressing area so if you need the light to use the bathroom at night you wake the other person sleeping with bright lights. I was extremely disappointed with the standard of the rooms and resort as a whole and would not recommend to anyone. I don't normally fill in these surveys, but I felt my dissatisfaction had to be heard.

We stay at the Novotel every year, this is one of our favourite places to stay and this year was probably the best time we have had. Despite the Covid situation, everything ran very smoothly. The rooms were clean and newly renovated which was a lovely surprise . The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast ran smoothly and was very enjoyable. Third stay and still our favourite family holiday destination

Twice we have stayed from after Christmas through to New Year in an overwater bungalow and it has been excellent. This year we arrived in the second week of January and stayed in a 1 bedroom lagoon suite (as apparently the overwater bungalows are not set up for children anymore) and it was still great. The Resort seemed to be less crowded staying in the second week of January which we enjoyed. Buffet breakfast and eating at Sola was a good fit for our family.

Our room was not what expected as we have stayed before ? Many times but it was a view of bush land and around the corner was a snippet of water views which was very disappointing!! And the sandflies made it impossible to seat on balcony!!! Also I requested a ground level room as I was recovering from foot surgery? So our room being upstairs and we could not have been any further away !!! Made getting to restaurant and pool very tricky Our experience of food and staff was Amazing Because we were unable to be upgraded the manager shouted us breakfast which was great Understand busy time of year !!!!

Mostly relaxing getaway

We came here for a Babymoon and felt very relaxed. The pool is lovely and there were lots of seats and umbrellas to lounge around. The location is great, being so close to the beach. Lagoon activities are great for kids! The rooms were a little underwhelming. A good investment would be flyscreens. We like to leave our windows/doors open for fresh air but had lots of little flies/bugs in the room all the time (also quite a few dead ones, would have thought the cleaners would remove them). The air conditioning is automated so when the doors open, the aircon turns off. It’s also automated based on the room temperature. We were unable to change the temperature and found the aircon very noisy, especially at night when it would start and stop. Also, a lot of the rooms that are ‘lagoon view’ are mostly garden with a slight water view through the trees. Overall, there’s a really nice vibe.

So much sand

Nice hotel, lots of facilities but very isolated. We stayed for a week and felt that the options were not enough. No decent play area for little ones and only 1 restauarant made food choices very limited. You have to eat all meals at the hotel as there is nothing close by (20min walk away theres some cafes). The cleaning team is well understaffed and cleaning took place at 6pm when we wanted to bath and put our little one to bed. The room is also always full of sand which is horrible as the bed ends up being full of sand. House keeping give it a quick vacuum but it doesnt really help. It will be helpful if all rooms had a broom as we would be more than happy to do a daily sweep to try and get rid of all the annoying sand Also no place to hang wet gear which is annoying especially as every day is spend swimming. A drying rack for each room is def required as guest hang washing on outside furniture which doesnt look good. Rooms are comfortable apart from the sand Overall a nice stay for a maximum of 5 days

Overall it was a pleasant experience staying at the Twin Waters Novotel. Beautiful hotel, spacious and clean rooms. Staff seemed over worked and a little stressed. Probably because they were understaffed due to covid. Waiting times at the bar and restaurant were long but food was very tasty. Everything was also very expensive but we were told it was due to school holidays/peak times. Overall stay 7/10.

My brothers wedding was at the Novotel Twin Waters last Thursday. We were scheduled to stay the Wednesday and Thursday night. A few days prior my partner received results of positive CoVID and she was able to leave isolation Thursday morning. I contacted Novotel on the Monday when we received the results and spoke to reception and subsequently the manager. I asked if we could have a refund/partial refund for our Wednesday night but keep the Thursday night due to the above reason. I was disappointed to hear that the Novotel were unable to provide any type of refund or option and lacked any type of compassion for the situation we were in. Christmas break

Complex looked a little tired and bungalow, although top of their range and a premium price, was not worth the money. Comfortable bed but the unit was spartanly appointed and lacked the little extras that one would expect at that price; such as bowl of fruit, champagne, chocolates, etc, Not even any attempt to decorate for Christmas. Breakfast was quite adequate without being first class and the allowance of Covid non-vaccinated guests into the dining area, despite signs banning their entry, wasn't appreciated. Kitchenette lacked a sink, balcony furniture was minimal, mould in the shower and bird dung caked on the bathroom window lessened the unit's appeal Booking in on-line was a waste of time because we had to go through the full process again on arrival. Even for Christmas prices, the unit was grossly over-rated.

Not what I was expecting.

The resort itself is large so arriving at night and having to navigate to your room may be a challenge. We also arrived on a Saturday when they had large functions on so there was no available car parking. We stayed in an overwater bungalow, which isn't a single bungalow but contains a group of 4. Two on the upper level and then 2 below. So even for your premium price you can still hear slamming doors and doof doof music. The rooms themselves were nice with the exception of the size of the shower, which was tiny. Not at all expected for this price point and room that doesn't appear that old. My biggest issue with this stay was actually the restaurants. There are 2, neither has table service. I am not used to this in an Accor property. There was a seafood buffet dinner offered however, buffets in this climate or ever are not what I was after. This really needs to be assessed prior to the borders reopening. Drinks to be ordered at the bar. Our only other option was a sit yourself arrangement and order at the counter. For the type of property I would have expected a nicer restaurant with full table service or at least that option. Breakfast which is free for me as a platinum member was again a buffet, no al carte options. As a result, we only stayed for the one night. Restaurant and front office staff in general could be friendlier even with the minimal interaction, the stay made me feel like customer service is well and truly dead. I stay in many Accor properties and frequently. This one just doesn't match others in SEQ never mind Australia.

The room is great. however, no sign or mention the watersport operate hour . we try to have some water activities and the team advised that it will be closed at 3 pm. I do think the water activities need to open longer hours, especially, the pool is currently closed. no activities after 3 pm in the resort. There were other group people also unexpected the water activities close at 3 pm Went to play the mini golf, no ball available. Bar and restaurant is good
