Glorious location for a work conference - meeting rooms on the lagoon with good facilities and fabulous outlook. Resort rooms very comfortable but some oddities - no overhead light or any reading lamps in the main room! Bathroom configuration a little awkward (had to shuffle past and close door to use toilet). Balcony delightful and well thought out so it wasn't overlooked by neighbours or from adjoining wings and glorious gardens. Staff friendly and helpful throughout the stay, but inexplicably all disappeared for 30 mins during the conference dinner. (Having worked in hospitality myself, usually breaks are staggered to ensure continuity of service...)

It was disappointing to say the least. The resort activities were on reduced times and sailing wasn't available at all one of the days. Bike hire was at absorbent prices! Our room upgrade didn't include lake views even though the resort was almost empty. I booked our Valentine's seafood platter the week prior and sent an email as well but on the night they ran out of seafood and told us when we were seated!!!! They did offer a free dinner but overall the weekend had a flat feeling and I wouldn't rush to return there again.

Stayed as a last minute decision with my mother and 2 young girls. We used our Accor Plus free night for the booking. Room with “lagoon view” was not worth the extra money paid for it and our ground floor room was dirty and in desperate need of refurbishment.

Resort has everything but a bit of confusion with Noveau restaurant not delivering 2 for 1 meals as part of an Accor complex. Our room wasn’t swept daily and the bed it made in one day, so cleaning disappointment. Otherwise a good stay.

Reception and Sola Bar / Bistro is very modern, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Nouveau Restaurant is now outdated and a disappointing experience. Our King Room was spacious and comfortable. Everything in room functioned correctly, air conditioning was quiet and good temperature control. Room was very clean. The Gym is a real disappointment. Equipment heavily rusted and flooring worn out. Impossible to maintain surface hygiene on rusted metal surfaces such as weights and treadmill hand rails.

Overall it was good. Friendly staff. Only bad points were the bar was a little slow (not the end of the world) and the beds were terrible. Our room had two singles pushed together and they both had an angle on them, like I was constantly almost rolling out of the bed. Preferred to sleep on couch

We have been coming to the resort for a number of years now because of its fantastic position and unique concept. While the reception area and Sola bar have been beautifully renovated, it has made the rest on the resort look very dated and tired.

Rude service dirty room and extra charges for no reason

On answering questions and helping get all the details filled in on the reservation form handed to me which asked more questions such as Rego No. Etc., on going out to get and returning with the young lady clerk rudely said I only asked two questions as if her order must be obeyed. On arriving at room there were dead flies in the bathtub, dirty marks around kick boards, bed not made properly, mould in the curtains, and unclean, rubbish outside in the grounds,

The facilities were nice, however the breakfast was awful. unappetising hot food including mushrooms that weren’t even slightly cooked. Coffee machine not working, and the second day 15 min wait on coffee as only a machine up and running. Not enough variety for the exorbitant price. I fully understand the limitations placed on you due to covid but we’ve been to a few novotel hotels during the last year who haven’t let their breakfast service slip this far south. Many many of the guests have stayed with you multiple times and were shocked at the breakfast service this year. Lower your breakfast price or increase your standards would be a better strategy.

Unhappy with customer service

I stayed at this resort for a wedding, the room was rather dirty, there was mould behind me the tv cabinet, the curtain was partially broken so sunlight was waking us very early and we saw a snake (medium sized) very close to our room making it really uncomfortable to sleep with the gap at the bottom of the front door as it worried us the snake may enter the room. However the main reason I would not return is due to the customer service. The older man who acted as if he was patrolling a prison was very rude, the first night my partner was smoking near the entrance (unaware there was a designated smokers area) the security came up and slapped my partner on the shoulder to get his attention to relocate however my partner had a broken collarbone and was wearing a sling, he told the man and no apology was given. Then at the bar again the same man came over and rudely said “shirt and shoes” as my partner had come out of the pool to order a drink - very rude and abrupt. There are no signs, or friendly warnings to let customers know they are not to walk up to the only bar in the restort from the pool without getting fully dressed again - which would have been something my partner would have done provided that he was spoken to with some level of respect. Then the bartender rolled his eyes and again rudely yelled at a friend of ours, for the same reason. After the entire commotion we finally got our drinks and went back to the pool and the second we entered the water were yelled at again by the older security guard for using glass (saying your not allowed glass here, if it breaks the entire pool is ruined and everyone would need to get out) as if we were meant to know that was not allowed - I went straight back to the bar and swapped my cups however again it was the manner and lack of respect to yell and embarrass me I front of everyone are the pool that was the issue. A friend of ours ordered the next drinks, ordered 12 at the bar, the bar tender made 6 then ‘went to check on the eggs’ came back 10min later and began watching the tv with our friend instead of finishing the order. We also checked out Sunday morning to a rude and snarky blonde haired woman who we requested to leave our luggage at the desk while going for breakfast, when we returned there was no one guarding or watching our luggage or no one questioned my partner when he just walked over and collected them. The customer service in this hotel is appalling and the main reason I will not be returning.

The resort is undergoing a full rooms refurbishment in 2021 / 2022 as well as the addition of two new dining options for our guests.
