We stayed Jan. 15-23, 2022 in suite 1010. The situation is of course ideal with a gorgeous view over the Nile. The suite was very nice with a terrace overlooking the Nile--very comfortable bed, abundant supply of coffee, water, and toiletries. Housekeeping was absolutely top-class. The very best part was the adorable staff: Mr Osama El Kady, the assistant front office manager who welcomed us so pleasantly--our butler Mr Ahmed who was extremely helpful, hard-working, and pleasant and whom we would love to have again to help us on our next visit--Mr. Peter who was such a pleasant head of the pool bar and who saved our dinner at the 1902 (more later)--Mr Ayman at the Terrace who was just as sweet and welcoming as last January-- the terrace chef Mr Emadelsayed who deserves the highest marks for his work and for his friendliness--the pool men who kept us comfortable and happy during our whole stay--last but not least the very helpful and kind waiter who made all our breakfasts but one so pleasant and whose name I could not write down because he was not working on our last morning. Our only problem was with Ms Sama at the 1902. I have for years defended her against many of our friends and acquaintances--not to mention my own wife--who find her insufferable because I thought she had a difficult time in what is essentially a man's world but this time she took our orders in a curt, off-hand way and then abandoned us for the rest of the evening (even forgot our dessert) while fawning obsequiously to a Saudi family. We could see her from across the room and noticed her very different behaviour. That is not acceptable in a ***** establishment. Mr Peter tried to make up for her behaviour when he saw we were furious and we thought he would be a much, much better head waiter in the 1902 than Ms. Sama. We will not go back to the 1902 while she is allowed to behave so rudely and we know three other guests who avoid the 1902 because of her.

Enjoyed returning to the hotel after many years. All has been revamped beautifully, and despite a very disappointing check-in experience, all eventually progressed very well. The emphasis is on tips rather than being of service. Enjoyed a magnificent dinner at their amazing French restaurant: great setting, truly delicious dinner and outstanding service, thank you.

After coming off of a lovely Nile cruise, our stay at the Old Cataract could not have been lovlier. Gorgeous public areas matched by beautiful spacious rooms. Wonderful water pressure and sumptuous towels. A lovely welcome of sweets and fruit and a Pomegranate juice. There are mini bars in the rooms and the terraces are delightful. Every person encountered on the property had a smile and was genuinely warm.

Outstanding butler services and reception

The hotel hard product is wonderful and the terrace of 1120 is breath-taking. However, my biggest pleasure was to treat with two people: Mr. Michael (butler) and Mrs. Mariam (reception). They both made this stay unforgettable and went far beyond correcr treatment, especially Mr. Michael that was incredibly proacrive! If I need to be picky, I would work a bit on the breakfast experience - it looks a bit messy and it would be useful to have some person welcoming the guests and bringing them to the table - also there were spoons instead of forks in some products that are difficult to be caught with the spoon (ham, cheese, etc.). These are though small details that are compensated by the other points mentioned before. The experience in 1902 and kebabgy very good both for service and food.

This is my first time staying at this hotel. I travel a lot and stay at different hotels, but I was never impressed by a hotel, service, and staff as this one. EVERYTHING is amazing. You are treated like a king/queen. It is worth every penny spent. The hotel is on the Nile river with a wonderful view. We had 3 rooms, 2 in the palace and 1 in the Nile view building. all are great with amazing views. Very clean. Staff is courteous and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay great. Food at the hotel is wonderful. There is every night while dining a live Egyptian music. The breakfast variety and taste is great. I will definitely stay there, or in other words,Ii will ONLY stay there whenever I am visiting Aswan.
