« A good base to explore the city from. »

Good location. Close to an underground station on line 2, direct to the center, or about 20 minutes walk. 3 minutes from Cafe New York and about 5 minutes from the Szimpla Kert ruin bar. Breakfast is good, (buffet, all you want). Includes some hot dishes, (scrambled eggs, frankfurter style sausages, sometimes bacon). Also cereals, fruit, yogurt, bread, croissants, waffles and the usual drinks. Nothing of fantastic quality but all good. Bed is comfortable and shower is good. The sound-proofing seemed good, but that may have been because we were on the top floor, (7th).

« Below My Expectations »

The hotel is a usual Ibis hotel, which, for me, means good, at least. But there were two things that made my stay uncomfortable. First: I chose to "save the planet", so I hang the sign who told: "Please do not make the room". So absolutely nobody entered my room, and the garbage piled in my room! Second: one of the two elevators was out of order. And the other one was used by the staff or by the repairing crew who was working on one of the floors. So, to get up or down you had to wait even ten minutes! And there are only seven floors! An there is also a third: the view from the window, which was depressing. The rest was ok: breakfast was good, the location was perfect for me, near Blaha Lujza ter Metro Station.

« Very relaxing stay in a good location »

We both enjoyed our stay, rooms were a good size and clean (as you would expect), everyone was friendly. Louis (dont think that his name) on reception was very helpful as was Amy at breakfast time. Good choice of food for breakfast and really good coffee.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this Ibis City hotel, and it would be my go to hotel for a Budapest visit, the Hotel is very clean and comfortable and has very friendly helpful staff, and is in a great location for easy access to all the great places of interest.

« Good little hotel in a great location »

The location of the hotel is excellent, very central and close to the airport bus drop off point. The rooms are quite large and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the flooding of the bathroom after a shower.

« Great location - good value for the money! »

Great stay and right next to Metro and Tram. Overall the staff was very polite and helpful. I reserved a room with two twin beds. The twin beds were set up as a double bed. I could not move the beds individually as the nightstands were installed in the wall and in permanent position. I missed a privacy space between the beds. I also thought that breakfast was expensive with 9 Euro per person so I skipped that option.

Bad service - we were not being told that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning in autumn/winter time, all the chocolate was melt and we called the reception ask about the air conditioning, the receiptionist just replied the hotel is not responsible for your chocolate. Excuse me I am asking the air conditioning.. Then the receiptionist said there is no air con at this time. I guess hotel would be better inform the customer no air con offering during checkin.

« lovely hotel, noisy at night »

The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff on the reception desk were very helpful and friendly. The noise from the street outside was very loud, maybe soundproof windows will help
