« Excellent position and room but is lacking in other aspects. »

The location is ideal being close to the city, harbour and SkyBus. The room was excellent especially the bed and the shower. We arrived early on the Queen Elizabeth, as a Gold member one of the privileges is early check-in when available. At reception I was told that the room was empty but would take 2-3 hours to clean. When I asked why, I was told that rooms are cleaned according to a “list” and the order couldn’t be changed. It took some time to persuade the person at reception to prioritise the cleaning of our room. At breakfast they offer a continental breakfast however there are no bread rolls. I have never seen a continental breakfast served with sliced bread. Service for cooked items was very slow.

Two night with my daughter Room was comfortable and air conditioning worked well and quietly Unfortunately we didn’t realise the do not disturb sign was on so our room was not serviced Late check out was appreciated

I had a very poor experience with you during this stay. I was awoken just after midnight to the fire alarm going off, we were all told to go the evacuation point. There was no communication from any of your staff as to what was going on - false alarm or real incident! Not a great outcome ...

We booked a suite, we were given a room on the 7th floor near the lifts, we went down to reception to complain, we were told that all the suites were in the same position in the hotel. We could hear the lifts all night. We didn’t sleep very well. We will not be stopping at this hotel again.

Very good location, very good service, very good restaurant and bar. Small room and no pool or spa are on the minus side. So, if for a short stay, it could still be among best options if fairly priced.

Everything was great. Restaurant was fantastic. My one negative comment was House Keeping knocking knocking and knocking at 8.24 am to see if we wanted our room serviced - during a one night stay - I don't think so! Sort of ruined a nice morning when we had an 11.00am check out.

« Exceptional Stay! »

I always stay here when I visit Auckland, and I am always happy with the total experience. This time though the service was Exceptional from the moment I arrived (and there was a large group checking in at the same time). My car was taken care of, my room was ready and everything was professional handled despite the bit of chaos that was happening in reception. I asked to change rooms, because I wanted queen beds, however this was not possible due to the hotel being full, however I could do it for the 2nd night. We left our luggage at reception in the morning and on returning in the afternoon found that it had been brought to our room already :). The only let down, and this seems to always be the case, is housekeeping - on the first night there was a dirty facecloth that had been left in the bathroom and on the 2nd night (in the new room), I found a plastic cup behind the cushions which no one had checked and food behind the rubbish bin in the bathroom. I just wish that this could be improved upon, it doesn't stop me staying but it just is a bit distracting for the amazing experience.

The staff were welcoming and location fantastic. A little hard to drive to because of position but the views of the harbour and location to business and shopping districts means a get stay for business or pleasure.

A ReUnion of classmates from the 1960's. Many stayed at the hotel and we had 2 evening functions organised by the events co-ordinator. All aspects of our stay and experience with staff were friendly, courteous and professional.

« Fantastic location if you're going to or from a cruise from the nearby pier. »

Our room was either new or newly renovated and it was stylish and comfortable. We would have liked a sofa to sit on rather than the bed to watch TV. Bathroom was very good except water didn't drain fully. There was still a puddle there the next day. It was a great location when we disembarked the ship, however there is a too small lobby area to accommodate all the guests waiting to check in. The bathroom amenities were very good except some were missing such as the toothbrush/toothpaste. The hairdryer was excellent quality. The mini bar price list was missing. I called down for one and it came promptly.

We had a lovely 2 night stay with you. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast was very nice and fresh. Only reason I didn’t give you a 10 - room was small, very little cupboard space for clothes and we had a dirty towel in room. To be fair I didn’t make the staff aware of the towel - if I had I’m sure it would been dealt with.
