Booked via accor website, price confirmed by Accor via e-mail. Despite showing the Accor confirmation e-mail to the receptionist she still insisted I pay an extra 30 Euros before she would give me the room key. Rooms are box like with no windows, noisy all night. I’ll never stay here again.

« Convenient stop-over between two flights »

Booking resulted in having a day-room, which wasn't clear up front. Luckily, this was pointed out by an online staff member, that was helpful. I wasn't aware of the fact that Mercure is in the non-Schengen area. Arriving from and leaving to Schengen zone, I would / should have rather booked a hotel in the Schengen-area. This information can be made more explicit on the Mercure and Schiphol websites. Now I needed to reserve some time for customs, although that turned out to bring no delay that morning. Upon arrival my booking turned out to be wrongly rescheduled (see above). Luckily, there still was a room. The room assigned to me initially was already used (in spite being marked as cleaned in the system) The room then assigned to me (room #1) was good, although the water cooker was missing. All in all it was convenient, but could have been quite a bit smoother.

« Gave me a much needed break in my travel »

I had an extremely long layover after a 10 hour flight and having a small room to rest in was absolutely heavenly. It had all the basic necessities (bathroom, bed, desk and charging ports) to make the next leg of my travel bearable. I got more sleep than I had on the plane and they gave me a wake-up call before my flight. I'd definitely do this again if I had ages to wait.

I have been there a few times and this one is the worst one. The bed was really uncomfortable. Too much soft. The mattress had a poor quality.

It is too small. Compared to Sheraton it is way small but the room rate is not a big difference. I would rather go out and stay at Sheraton next time.

« I feel cheated »

I reserved a room from 9 to 10 and when I arrived there they explained to me that is only day time. If it is written 9 to 10 and you don't know that option of day use is possible is not a real mistake from our company but yours. This is like cheating a customer that must pay doble price just for the night. I will send this to my head office to see how we might proceed face to this type of behaviours.

« Poor! »

Still await your response to my message of 8 Nov: I have just returned from a very poor stay at your hotel in Schiphol Airport. Firstly the terminal maps and signage is not clear, this may be a new hotel but it needs to be addressed. My complain however relates to a loud noise coming from the ceiling speakers, it woke me and many other guests (many were walking around trying to find cause of problem) and I failed to sleep for the rest of the night - I chose this hotel to try and have some sleep prior to an early flight (followed by a longer trip early tomorrow). The noise arrived suddenly, was very loud and lasted for around 30 minutes, though there was further short episodes after the main period of disturbance ended. I raised it at checkout, they indicated it was the airport sound system at fault but agreed that I should not pay full room rate (probably should not pay anything), I was directed to raise the matter via this app. I look forward to your response and refund.

We had a long stopover in Schipol and stopped in the Mecure for the day. It is a quiet oasis and it is wonderful to stretch out in cool sheets after a rainfall shower. The staff are always friendly and efficient.

« Good way to rest before a long flight. »

This is my second time staying here - I stay here to sleep and shower between long haul flights. It is perfect between USA and South East Asia. Resting is much better than going on 2 really long flights connecting through AMS. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the bigger room (with the bigger bed) were actually 2 small beds combined, it's meant for 2 people, you don't really get a bigger bed since you can't sleep in the middle of both of them.

It is a nice cozy hotel inside the terminal. Most convenient when someone has a bit of a long layover between two connecting flights. The rooms are clean and comfortable with attached WC. In stead of going out for a city hotel near by this is a far more cleaver choice. And with all the eateries and bars inside the terminal food and drink is not a problem at all.
