Property has declined in the year since we were there last year. Poor service, shabby rooms and poorly maintained. They don't look after their loyalty club members. We pay nearly $400 to be in Accor plus with the expectations that we would be given a decent room. Even after booking a year ahead were given a room opposite a noisy construction site with a leaking toilet. The east tower is terrible so try to avoid this area.

« Quiet and nice but could be better »

Quiet and great staff however many things could be improved: 1. Room: not enough place to hang towels when wet or hang clothes 2. Arrival: had to handle all of my luggages by myself; took the trolley, put luggages on it and brought the trolley myself to my room. Disappointed that no one initiated to help... 3. Breakfast: very basic and always the same everyday. Quality of bread and croissant is standard. Cups are Ikea cups, would have thought Mercure has higher quality standard

Unfortunately I found the service not to Accorplus standard. Have stayed here before has since not met my expectation. Following reasons. Accor loyalty has to queue with everyone else. Insufficient staff at desk. Insufficient staff at breakfast. Breakfast staff not friendly at all. Food just put on table without acknowledgement. Toilet system slightly leaking constantly. Reported on check out. Valet parking staff of one, run off his feet. But with a smile. On the positive side. Bar staff were friendly Food in bar delivered with a smile. Stayed at Mercure as had a good special.

« Very pleased with our visit our ongoing Accor Plus membership recognised and rewarded »

This is the second stay we have had with you. Each time we have used your Vala Parking, with the limited space outside your Hotel you need more people on checking in we got moved on from Taxi space and had to park in no parking zone. On our fist visit the pool was heated this time it was not although it was a hot day did not have a swim this time. Just taking the chill of the water would have been good. Al other aspects of our stay were good see you next time.

Do enjoy staying at Mercure Perth and whilst it was comfortable the bathroom is looking decidedly tired and in need of renovation - “gunk” build up in corners of shower and sink basin showing quite significant fine line cracking in the vitreous enamel

« Not usual standard we have come to expect from Mercure. »

The room we were (upgraded) to was shabby and in need of some attention. The tap in the shower fell off in my hand, there were lots of floor mats to stand on but only 3 bath towels for 4 people. The carpet is threadbare in places the sofas were stained as was the carpet. The tumble dryer was loaded with lint and obviously had not been checked for a very long time. The room itself was not cleaned to the usual standard we normally get at the hotel. The dining room for breakfast was at first glance modern and tidy but look a little closer the tables were worn and tired, although some attempt had been made to make them look respectable. The breakfast itself was definitely lower in standard than on previous visits, I do understand that hotels get old but as customers we are expected to pay premium prices, we should therefore receive good quality products and service. I must say that the staff we had interaction with were very helpful and polite as always. We like the hotel in general but this was by far our worst experience with Mercure.

« Poor stay »

Arrived at hotel 5:30-6:00pm, reception service was slow, apparently 3 staff need to stand around sorting out another customer. Then the room was not ready. Seriously, we booked our room months ago. Restaurant meal service was slow (we needed to get to the U2 concert) and pork belly meal not very nice. Bedroom was fine, however bathroom is very dated and plumbing in the shower is stiff. I have stayed at this hotel many times over many years, this was my worst experience yet, at any hotel for that matter

« The air conditioner did not work well. »

The air conditioner did not work well or at all to be honest. Did not have a good sleep because the room was so stuffy. The temperature of the hallway outside the room was however nice and cold was almost tempted to leave to door open.
