stayed for 7 nights, room was small, like an airport hotel ment for one night. aircon in hotel is centrally controlled and was set it heat which was unbareablel to sleep in. sticker on the control panel said leave it off so tried that the next night was even worse, no airflow or abilty of open window to get air. asked reception for a fan, had to chase that up three times and it was the worlds smallest fan a personal one which my partner had on his side. 5am one moring woke to a building site across the road dropping tubes into a tuck and the saturday and fridays nights were no better in regards to noise and party people. Oh and then there was the parking issue which I wasn't impressed about, paid 30$ for downstairs parking and came back one day to not one available. the salad I had in room for lunch one day was nice.

I made the booking direct with the hotel and as usual was looked after very well by Jade who took care of the booking. We were also warmly welcomed by Jade on our arrival. We were advised at the time of booking that the restaurant was not open for breakfast at the moment due to the impact of Covid so we were able to make other arrangements for that in advance. Our room was clean and tidy but sadly no welcoming Kit kat chocolate this time. At least that stopped the argument over who was going to get it :). We did receive a welcoming drink voucher for the Rubix bar though which is always nice. I must say it didn't look like the carpets outside our room had been vacuumed for some time. I also must admit that my wife and I became rather concerned when I saw police in the lobby with checklists of names of people that were in 14 day Covid quarantine, having come into WA from other regions. We were worried that if there was someone in the hotel with Covid that it may go through the airconditioning. However, we were reassured by staff that there was no risk of this and there were no known cases staying in the hotel. One week since we left and so far so good, fingers crossed. We had room service for dinner one night and ate down in the restaurant the second night and both meals were very good. Overall, given the circumstances we were happy with our stay. The staff working there were welcoming and professional in what is obviously pretty challenging times.

stayed at ibis for work training. First impressions were the hotel needed new carpet and a paint job and the room needed LED lighting and more colour it felt very bland and unwelcoming.

a little bit disappointed when where checking in there was a custom in front of us checking in and from what i over heard he was from over seas for his 14 days lock down there was was no ppe what so ever no distancing a bit poor

Dear Nigel, Thank you for your feedback. We do get a few guests checking in that are here for 14 day isolation. As a result we now have screens on reception, sanitizer at reception, floor spacing stickers and these guests are given PPE post check in. Staff who service these rooms are fully trained in the use of PPE and sanitizing procedures. The guests are also frequently visited by the police to ensure they remain in their rooms for the duration of their stay. I returned for another two night stay at the Ibis on Murray Street as it is in the centre of Perth CBD and close to all the transport hubs. the service was up to the usual high standard. the lack in house breakfast was not a problem as there is a multitude of cafe's in the immediate area. I understand the cost of the extra cleaning is high, but a thirty three percent jump is a little high when the tourist visitors are supposed to be low.

My room’s toilet needed maintenance. The room was 508 and my stay was for two nights, Sat and Sun, on which there is no room maintenance. On Sun morning, I awoke to the bathroom having having signs of leakage around the pedestal and smell of urine. After reporting it, the staff member offered to move me. I did not think that was required. I was happy to borrow a mop. The staff member mopped while I was out. The problem reoccurred. I investigated the leak and reported it on check out. My parking fee was waived.

This is not our first stay at the ibis and probably won't be our last. After earlier putting a trip into town on hold due to restrictions on dining out we decided to stay at this establishment and as usual didn't disappoint, though it was unfortunate that breakfast was not on the offing due to restrictions it was a pleasant stay with parking thrown in to make up for the unavailable breakfast. We did not have the opportunity to stay longer during the days as we had to leave early morning after breakfast for the tours. The breakfast was good. The room was kept tidy when we were back at night. It appears that the carpeted floor had not been vacuumed.

We needed an economical hotel for a two night stay in Perth which was in walking distance to the train station. We encountered friendly staff, clean room and complimentary drink vouchers. The bed was comfortable with a supply of good pillows. The bathroom was small but adequate. The TV had good quality reception and Wifi was included free of charge. A room safe would be beneficial.
