Room is not clean as per Accor Hotel Stander. I have requested tooth brush kit for 2 times from the Receptionist officer however nobody has provided the tooth kit

« Very good customer service, beautiful location with a view of the pyramids. »

The reception staff and the maintenance staff were so lovely and polite. They were efficient at solving any issues or problems. The hotel generally was very beautifully designed and at the outdoor pool, you can see the top of the Giza pyramid. My room was very comfortable and I loved the bathroom which had very good lighting for putting my make up on and the shower was so clean and wonderful. The only thing I would request is for the hotel to provide better lighting in the room. This problem is common in all hotels to save electricity. Good lighting is very important to maintain good vision and to prevent falls and accidents.

Checked in online when I arrived presented my membership card, I was given a room that had a connecting door which made the noisy people next door even noisier. Requested room change sorted without delay. The "new" room was so much better in all aspects but no internet connection in either room though! The staff I dealt with were pleasant and courteous as always.

« Great vacation, terrible hotel »

I'm an Accor member and was supposed to have robes, slippers and soft drinks waiting in room. We got slippers 4 days after check in, robes 6 days after check in and 4 soft drinks one night during a 9 night stay. Every time I went to the front desk they always said ok but there was never any follow through. The woman from the priority desk spoke with me briefly and invited us to have dinner that evening and when we showed up we were promptly taken to the front desk to be told our package doesn't include dinner. I tried to explain that we were invited but everyone kept saying no then I had to sternly explain and they let us have dinner but by then I couldn't enjoy it. The room was always made up and we always received water but not always coffee, tea, towels or a bath mat. Wifi is only available in the lobby and smoking is allowed in the lobby as well; I do not smoke so this was a real inconvenience.

Great at apologizing Not so great at fixing problems. Stayed multiple days...multiple rooms...Variety of problems from No TV to Partial tv channels to No air conditioning to poorly cleaned rooms. Lots of apologies but the problems do not get fixed.

« Service at a very low scale »

We stayed for 5 nights and had 2 rooms. So i would call myself a worthy guest. We did not get the desired service though. One room we changed 3 times with complaints ranging from broken door locks, wet carpets, no lighting in rooms and dismal power points. Complaints fell on deaf ears and in the other room the bathroom door locks did not get repaired for 5 days. Had requested for a cake and though received a confirmation from Yaseer on email, no one in the hotel knew about it and had to run from pillar to post asking for the same. The rooms are very dark, and with kids it was a task to even open bags. I was charged for incorrect restaurant bills and the front desk kept me waiting for half hour searching for the bills which were never found. I could have missed my flight. The entire hotel needs a huge refurbishmen t, need staff who understand English and a general overhaul in service. The hotel should project and charge as 3 star and should not charge like a 4* plus property. As We pay so much and get such low class service is as good as cheating.

« Terrible Stay »

In our room - dirty carpet, lighting so poor we had to put on every light to have any hope of seeing. We often had to resort to putting our phone torch on to see detail. When we first arrived we found loads of someone else's hair in the bed we planed to sleep in. Fortunately the other bed didn't have an hair in it. Next morning we asked for the bedding to be changed... It wasn't. On our last night we needed extra towels, which we called reception for. They ever arrived. The breakfast - was sub-standard. The toaster either didn't work at all, or was so bad I gave up after putting my bread through four times. Replacing items that had been consumed was very slow so we often couldn't get things we wanted. The wifi was only available in the lobby and was so slow if was basically unusable. On the last night we tried to check in to our flight but the airline website wouldn't even load. Overall the worst hotel of the three week holiday.

« Stay at Cairo Mercure Le Sphinx Hotel »

Iman helped us with our various room problems, and the maintenance team fixed broken and missing lampshades, and properly vacuumed the floor, and applied a cleaning spray. For us, we feel the property rooms needs significant upgrade- carpets and bathrooms. The bed was excellent, as is the pool, and the lobby and restaurant. We are very grateful that we got an upgrade to a beautiful suite for our one night stay, that was a few days after our initial stay.

« Wonderful staff, comfortable rooms »

We stayed for 2 nights pre a tour. Our room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. It had a lovely view over the pyramids. Plenty of food choices. Liked the security in the hotel Staff were more than helpful. Iman from guest relations was adorable. The reservation staff and office manager were amazingly helpful when we found our ongoing booking wasn’t found. Mohammed in the pool area was so attentive and helpful as well.

« very friendly staff, lots of room and space, clean »

I usually stay at this hotel when I come to visit family. The staff is always great, the hotel has lots of space and room, the hotel is always clean, I feel safe here. Only areas for improvement is some rooms could use some maintenance improvement and minor repair depending on which room you get. will continue to stay here when I come to cairo.

« Below average quality »

Staff were friendly but the hotel rooms are old and run down. Air conditioning leaked water and made the rooms smell. Air conditioning was very noisy. Showers were terrible, water kept changing hot to cold, showers leaked badly. Food quality was very poor and room service menu extremely limited. There is no internet in rooms or near pool and internet at concierge is very slow. Hotel management needs to be sacked and replaced with a Foreigner management team that can revive this hotel and make it more attractive for tourists so close to the pyramids!

« Average Hotel »

I have some compliments and some points of improvement. Points of improvement: The pool closes at 6pm and 15min before that the staff starts to kick you out of the place, which ruins the experience. Either in the pool bar or the bar above the hotel if you order anything they will already give you the bill so you can leave fast. The hotel employees dont speak english very well. The guy from the hotel carried our baggage for 5 meters from the reception to the car (even without us asking, we only had one bag) and complained because we didnt give him money. The air conditioning is very old and the noise is hudge, we had to turn it off to sleep. Compliments: The breakfast is very good, the location as well and the view from the previlege room is also good. I mean, in a general way the hotel is average. I believe that for the same price we could stay in other hotel but I always give preference to the Accor ones due to their loyalty program.

We could not fault the staff, professional, but friendly. Happy to have a chat and most of them have a great sense of humour. Rooms were neat and tidy. Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby area. Which led to a very busy area, especially with all the tour groups coming and going.
