Room completely different to what was advertised and did not accommodate for the people it was booked for ! Had to pay extra to solve that problem . Continental breakfast was poor to say the least - the basics off bacon and eggs completely sub standard ! For the price you could stay at somewhere 10 times better....

We would like to politely inform you that all of the pictures we provdied on the advertised were taken from the real room and facilities in the room without further decorations. May i carify about aspect of the extra bed charged. We would like to politly inform you that the room is provided for 2 Adults and 2 Childrens (the children use existing bed without addional charge) this is the condition reservation basis which showed on the children' s condition. The additional charge for extra bed have to be paid in case children were not able to use a same bed with their parents. We're truly sorry that our Deluxe room upgrading with 8 feets of bed size to you was not enought for your conveniene which is we strive to avoid further payment and make guests received high comfortable if it possible. For the breakfast, our culinary team has taken note on your opinion regarding the quality and taste of our breakfast offerings for their rectification. Your opinion is valuable to us. Breakfast meal is important so we really want to ensure the highest satisfactions of all our guests. At the ending noted, we would like to seek for your kind understanding on those matter. A great hotel with big rooms with big beds (really big!) and an amazing staff. Great breakfast and good room service. Close of the city center and easy to reach by walk.

« A great option in Chiang Mai. »

The hotel use an old building but it's perfect. The rooms are big (really big) with a really big bed, clean and with everything functional. It's located in a walk distance of the city centre and surrounding with many services like restaurants, ATM's, a big supermarket 50 meters away, pharmacies, etc. The breakfast serve mostly food for asiatic people but with options of western too. The restaurant have good options for lunch and/or dinner. The staff is perfect. Well educated and try to help you with any issue with a smile on the face. I really like the Mercure brand but this hotel surprise me in a good way.

Is my first time visit Chiang Mai. Nice weather during year end. The swimming pool is located at Level 6. Would like to suggest hotel provide toothbrush & toothpaste to room, the drinking water should able to refill without any charges inccur. Overall the room service, hotel restaurant & hotel front desk staff are friendly.

I have visited Chiangmai numerous times - staying inside the city wall, staying near the Maya shopping centre; sometimes with local hotels and some with international chain hotels. My last stay is with Mercure Chiangmai and hereby decided that I will always return to this hotel whenever I visit Chiangmai for many reasons. Firstly the location is wonderful! Walking to the city is about 10mins. Near the hotel is a market and nearby are so many small family own restaurants and stalls where you get authentic Thai meals for a fraction of what you pay in the city. The group of 8 of us really enjoyed ourselves checking out the various eating places! 2nd, the hotel is really great value for money. Above all, the standard of cleanliness and service is so much higher than local hotels. I have stayed (previous trip) a local hotel that was so impressive on the hotel/website but the rooms are a different story with mouldy bathroom tiles and showers. Breakfast was a huge marketplace of loud and rude tourists from Asia. Mercure is different! They maintain the standard of cleanliness and service. Breakfast was peaceful and orderly while service was polite and efficient. We were greeted with smiles and there was no fighting over the counter to grab food. The breakfast room very pleasant and bright. 3rd the SERVICE! Booking shuttle to/from Airport. My husband was there before me. When he inquire about my pickup from airport, the concierge offer him the ride to airport to pick me up. No extra charge or fees - just a friendly service!! We were upgraded to a suite when I checked in. Was such a nice gesture. The pricing/rate of this hotel is just unbelievable and yet it is a Mercure brand. The front desk and restaurant staff recognize us and always greet us with a smile when we walk past. This hotel is genuinely best value for a stay in Chiangmai and the staff very efficient but very pleasant/friendly!

I regularly stay at this hotel. The location is good close to everything. Has a nice supermarket locate next to the hotel and a few good places to eat in the vicinity. The room is large as well as the bed is bigger than standard king size bed. But the downside is the room is a bit old by the age of the hotel and no fitness center. Staffs are friendly and helpful, a bit of modern renovation and installation of a good fitness Center will make this hotel perfect.

Overall good stay, hotel is at a good location, convenient with grocery store next door and many other service at walking distance. Since we were there on a weekend didnt get much traffic also. Tried breakfast as well one morning which was also not bad. Not a lot of variety but for the price it was worth it. Even the hotel stay, for the price it was ok but expect little better quality from a branded chain as this hotel needs refurbishment. But still they have very good service staff at all departments from Front office for check-in, housekeeping assistance was prompt, and bell desk service also. F&B service people also very hospitable at the breakfast restaurant.

Hotel staff was very pleasant n helpful. Only one complaint I have in the breakfast restaurant. We are in ChiangMai for a golfing holiday and some days we have to leave hotel very early so cannot have our breakfast in hotel. On those days we asked the restaurant supervisor if we could take away/pack some food, not much but was not allowed. I have stayed in hotels that allowed us to take away food and even provide take away containers.

it is a simple property compared to the standard offerings one would expect from the mercure brand but the relatively low price should be a telltale to manage expectations. friendly staff with limitations to english are eager to sell packaged tours. unfortunately the rather large rooms are very bare and have seen better days with many overpainted layers, tiled flooring ensures a very noisy environment where activities on corridor ranging from maintenance works to staff conversations cannot be ignored. unfortunately there is a terrible odour being omitted from aircon system and bathroom ventilation appears limited. bedding is comfortable but due to described hygiene and noise issues does not really offer true sleep. Due to smell issues management offered some halfhearted discount in a very negotiative manner. Would be great if Accor does check on brand compliance as to fulfil customer expectations.

« Good service but old decoration »

Staff is nice and provide good service. The location is convenient as some department store and night market nearby. The room is large enough but in old style. We can see the decoration is a little bit old especially the bath room. The most important thing need to be improved is the water pressure of the shower. It is very weak. I booked this room have promotion price. To be frank I don't think it is worth if no discount.
