The desk at reception was never manned but staff were always in the back of the office and did not attend the desk propmtly on our visits to the front office (6 times). Room 502 the airconditioner appeared to cool the room on first arrival but was stifalling hot in the early hours of the morning so I had to put the fan on full and move the bed over to the fan to keep the air flow. Colleegues room the electronic key did not work and so we needed to return to the desk. Purchased breakfast box as we left for Derby early in the morning. This is what it contained: 2 marsbars; nutri grain; uht milk; sugar coated sultanas; and a small tub of tinned fruit cocktail. There was so much sugar in this breakfast it was obviousely designed by a 5 year old and at $12was not good value for money. TV when turned on displayed a warning message saying that the airial was dissconnected. In all the decor was like stepping back into the 80s with the rooms very dark and old bedspreads that if a blue light was turned on the DNA of my ancestors would most likely be visible. The return visit a day later was pre booked and was a similar expereince however, I was bookked into the disabled suit having to negotiate support bars everywhere and a foul smelling bathroom. Not very impressed with this hotel. Will be recomending that out company book elsewhere in the future.

I loved the pool area, and I loved that we could get room service and have it delivered to the pool. The hotel facilities seemed good. I had issues with my rooms, not hot water, the air con was freezing & i couldn't make it warmer, no spare blanket. If I was staying more than 1 night I would have asked for these issues to be addressed.

Brian and Courtney are wonderful people and looked after me so well during my 4 day stay at Mercure in Broome ... I am 82 years old and was travelling alone . They both went out of their way to make sure I was always ok and helped me with tours etc. They treated me like a Queen .. I could not have asked for anything more... They made my stay at the Mercure in Broome one that i will never forget. Thank you Brian and Courtney :)

Nice clean room, good breakfast Discovered after dinner that I didn't have an iron in my room. I rang reception three times, first time around 8.30-9pm but only got an answering machine. Left a message on third time. At breakfast I checked on about my message but the woman at reception wasn't aware of it (and wasn't sure why my calls had gone to the answering machine). I asked for an iron asap given I was about to leave. It only arrived about 30 minutes later which was too late.

I had a good stay the only issue I had was no cable TV also heaps of flies were in the room

Great room service, excellent breakfast and breakfast service. Room was excellent, one bedside lamp had failed globe but overall the room lighting was far too dark (same as the room on my previous stay).

My only issue is that I appear to have contracted a foot fungus since my visit so please check what is your bathroom cleaning policy.
