Awesome view of the lake and the facility was neat and tidy. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Really enjoyed out stay there - nice food and the lounge area was perfect for evening drinks. A great experience overall.

All good other than the very irritating need to give credit card details and the nonrecognition of status because booked by an agent.

The Novotel Rotorua always provides a consistent stay with high expectations lived up to always. However, a dedicated bike lock-up would be a nice addition to the hotel that could be self-accessed with room swipe card. Would be happy to pay for a space to store my bike with my own lock etc. Future stays at this hotel will be determined if I need a place to store bike/bikes safely and with easy access (ie without having to go through reception staff). Rotorua is a renowned biking destination!

Enjoyed our two night stay. It was a bit disappointing that our room took all day to be cleaned. We went out for the day, returned at 2pm and our room still had not been serviced. It was a inconvenience to have to go out again and hope that the room was serviced before dinner time so we could shower and get ready. We stayed for our parents 30th Wedding Anniversary, wrote this in booking, I was hoping that Novotel would have done something nice for my parents but no, nothing. Other than that, our stay was good.

The hotel is well positioned in Rotorua and the adjoining rooms were adequate for our needs - however, the safe was not opened for us and no-one came to fix it when requested! There is nowhere in the bathroom to put toiletries or clothes when showering, and servicing our room at 5.00pm was rather late - and especially when we were trying to get ready to go out for dinner! It was also rather unfortunate that one of the three lifts was not working over Easter! Dining is expensive, but staff were friendly and helpful on the whole!

The hotel was very well presented with all the amenities you would expect in the rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. I was disappointed that the restaurant only offered a buffet for dinner. However its location meant there were many eateries very close by. It was great to have a goethermal spa and pool on site. The bar area had a nice cosy atmosphere

Lovely rooms, loved the location. Didn’t like the crowded and dirty pools. It was busy Easter weekend but pools were quite dirty. No housekeeping until 6pm.

Being Easter, I believe you had a full house. The doors on the rooms need attention, with a gentle arm to close them softly, the doors bang shut so loud, it’s disruptive. I was on level one, and children were running up and down the corridors, screaming. I should of rung the front desk, but i didn’t. The beds are comfortable. The carpet needs replacing, it’s threadbare in places, especially in front of the bathrooms. Your staff are polite, and hardworking. It’s a wonderful building, but just showing it’s age. We ate in-house, breakfast and dinner, it was very nice. Thanks Dianne D.

We were thrilled with the location, but a little shocked how tiny our room was and that our kids bed was just a fold out sofa, we assumed we would have a room with 2 beds (shouldn't have assumed!) Staff were very nice on check in, room was clean, but only had towels for 2 people (and I assume they knew there were 4 of us, as they had set up the sofa bed??). Main bed was awful, very lumpy and bumpy and we were surprised there wasnt even bottles of water in the fridge. We had a baby crying in the room next door (not your fault, but annoying all the same). We were out all the next day (for 9 hours) and were shocked to come back about 5pm and our beds had not even been made. called reception several times before there was an answer. They did offer to have our room cleaned then, but we were tired and had been out all day, and there was honestly no room for us to get out of the way for cleaners. Reception offered us a free breakfast to say sorry, which was nice, but it felt like the hotel was pretty short staffed. Thanks, Maggie
