Fairmont Rio was one of the most amazing experiences we had. We have stayed at many hotels and several Fairmont hotels throughout the world and this one is the best. Everyone at the hotel deserves 5 stars for their outstanding service, the warm welcome and amazing hospitality! Everyone was incredible, which made our stay very memorable. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and both pools were amazing. One pool has a view of the beach. We stayed on the 13th floor and it was so beautiful. The suites/rooms were beautifully decorated. The Gold Level Experience is also one of the best at this resort. The service was amazing and the food was good. Everything about this resort is 5 stars!

Made the reservation months in advanced and paid for a room with a nice view. I sent several emails before our arrival to make sure everything was clear. I was making all the arrangements for my boss and wanted everything to be perfect. We'll, they gave them a room for people with special needs all was missing was the wheelchair. They had no ocean view as requested. They had promised a special welcome "detail" for newly weds....nothing!!!! The said they could moved them but not till the following day. We all had gone swimming and wanted to rest but their room was not ready until almost 6pm when they had promised it would be ready at 1pm. I had requested a room with a ocean view and got one with 3 tall buildings and a construction site. If I wanted to see the ocean I almost had to fall off the balcony. I requested to speak to Mr. Fabrizio and he was the most arrogant, unprofessional, conceited individual I have ever met. His reply was that "by law he needed to rent those rooms" which I understand but that is not my problem!!!!! When I asked him if he would be happy if he was in their shoes his answer was "we are not taking about that" I can honestly say the bell boy was more courteous and professional than this so-called manager. Because of this individual and his condescending attitude we'll never go back to this place!!!

it's always nice to be able to come to the fairmont .... hotel, incredible, very good service and magnificent view of copacabana. any time, this time I have to complain .... the check in was a bit special and too long. I was asked to check in on the 4th floor, and unfortunately there were 7 people in front of me to check in, and only one person to register.....and when checking out, problem also to settle the bill...I couldn't make the final payment, and the person on the balcony told me that my card would be debited automatically (taking into account the deposit deposit) and that I would receive the final statement directly by E-mail. it's 21.11.2022, and I still haven't received any invoice or final statement....is this normal? Nope.... could you please do the needful....? thanks a lot
