ım here for a business trip and ı had to extend my stay several times. ım staying at 742 and wifi doesnot connect. because of this reason ı even wanted to change my room. ı thought ı would be finally leaving each time. tonight (29.11.2021) ı requested still water from reception bec room keeper desnot bring me any eventhough 2 bottles of water is complementary. after waiting for half an hour, ı recalled reception and they forgat! they bring 3 bottles of water and I signed the bill. once ı opened the pocket, they were all sealed. of course ı donot have equipment to open these bottles. then ı recalled somebody came and he opend all the bottles touching the month of the bottles. then ı again called and ı managed to have plastic water bottles, after 1 hour ı could manage to drink it. ı would buy from the market afterwards. this is just a simple example from tonight. before that ı was always trying to close the air conditioner bec ı got sick bec it was too cold. to sum up bec of location the hotel might be ok but not for a business trip bec meeting rooms are also freezing.

As I am a limitless member of Accor I generally get a good stay This was not the case this time Room not good, impossible tu shut down AC, smell in the toilets etc..

the only inconvenience was the noise, a party at the pool area was continues during the night, even without music, so was quite difficult to rest, and that was a Mondays, week day, that we need energy on the next day to work.

Everything was absolutely great regarding the attention of people at the front desk, waiters at the pool, room service, and also the event lady that kindly set up a room for me for an special occasion. However, I was so upset because I can down with my lady around 9:30 - 10 am and they said at the pool that breakfast was already finished and they time for lunch I should wait about an hour for they to open again. We were starving, so I ordered food on a phone app and when my food arrived they didn't let me ate there, they told it was just for food coming from their restaurant and they sent us to our room. I was so upset, and for this situation it doesn't matter how good was other things, ill never come back to this hotel.

We went to Fairmont invited by Alexandra. She made a tour with us, showed us some rooms, the Events rooms as well, the restaurant. It was amazing to see how beautiful the hotel is and be able to have lunch at the restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing.

I had stayed at Fairmont before and I wanted to celebrate my birthday. They took one hour to take my luggage, the lights went off and more than one hour to fix it…. The checkout had a long queue and only one person attending everyone. I got negatively surprise with these events….

Brand new, great pool area. Breakfast was packed, line to get food. I h=gave up waiting to get eggs. Also, my key stopped working, i asked a service staff that was on te corredor to open the room for me and they did without asking for an ID or anything. Needs to review their security policy. It could have been anyone entering my room. The room was good but very dark. My balcony overlooked other rooms and I kept the curtains closed the whole time for privacy.

The breakfast was so messed up. Too many people for few tables and space. Definitely it was the worst part. The staff and rooms were great! I think the bar by the other side shoud be serving breakfast as well when the hotel is crowded!

Good service and nice accommodations. I would like to stress that the billing be fully explained to the client though. The billing per night was confusing and not clear.

We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Rio de Janeiro. The hotel itself and the location is just awesome. Our suite had a stunning view toward the Copacabana beach and the Sugar Loaf. The breakfast was also nice and the terrace offers also a perfect view. The one and only thing we need to mention is that it seems that the hotel is focusing more on local or Brasilian guests. We struggled a lot with the language barrier as most of the waiters did not speak English very well. Also most of the TV-Channels are in Portuguese and the control panel of the AC as well. Which made it sometimes really difficult to navigate through the hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay. I really liked the hospitality, everyone was so nice to me. Loved the pool bar at night with the live band, also loved the front pool specially. One of the few dislikes was the bed. It was SO hard, I actually ended up the two nights with a backache. But I really loved the room itself, the bathroom and the view of Copacabana. Also loved the beach service and the beach tennis hour.

The hotel is good, the area os great, the room I had was great. The service at breakfast was terrible, the way issues are handled is next to useless with a total lack of interest from any of the management at all. Total disinterest from some of the reception staff. This could be a great place to stay if the management cared.
